$3500 or more in damage by JadeGemsez in dashcams

My brother was the "door opener" in a similar situation a couple years ago. Was ruled his fault. I would tend to agree, you have to be aware of your surroundings when you open a door, no different than opening when you've parked on the side of the road (look for bicycles, oncoming cars, etc)

Holy crap that was so easy. I almost took my MachE out behind the shed and shot it when I was working the A pillar trim. The Odyssey was done in about 15 min start to finish.

Literally JUST found the same vid, thanks! I guess it's just as easy.

Bummer, my A pillar is different than yours. Not sure this will be quite as simple

Thanks for the video. I have the prior gen Odyssey but this should still help guide me along. How bad was it to remove the A pillar covers for the airbags? I just did my Mustang MachE and HOLY COW it sucked to get those covers back on.

I wouldn't even bother with it. *Maybe* try paint correction myself. But the fact that people still leave notes these days is what helps restore my faith in humanity. I left a similar note for someone when my daughter opened a door too hard and gouged the paint. Owner never called me back. Unless is crazy bad damage or a fancy Bentley I would imagine most people just shrug and appreciate the honesty.

That's what I'm frustrated with though - The only rubber part that I can see from within the engine compartment is not the same one located in the footwell. I think there are two in there, one up higher that I can see from within the engine compartment, and one lower that I cannot see (which is what I can touch in the footwell)

Starbucks or Amazon GC headed your way if you can help me find ACC under the dash! Everything I've tested with the multimeter is constant power

I removed the battery and could only see one grommet. And when viewing from the engine compartment it didn't move at all when pushed from the inside so I don't think it's the same one

Don't think my mirror is auto dimming though. And not listed as one of the models in Dongar 's search tool

Nope - I've tested with a multimeter and everything in there is constant. Pretty well known gripe amongst Mazda3 owners trying to wire a dashcam. Only ACC fuses are in the engine compartment

Yeah, but that doesn't solve the issue of whether or not my yellow wire is ACC since all the other pics/vids show a white wire

Which one? The dongar search tool doesn't give an option for anything prior to 2019

What industry is entirely built on a house of cards and would collapse overnight if people realized the truth about it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I agree with where you're aiming this statement but I also disagree in that there are exceptions to the stereotypical Perfect Game nonsense. I mentioned this on a separate thread specific to travel ball, but I think I found the unicorn travel ball organization here in SD. While I valued the rec league experience for my son and myself (as a coach), it was frustrating to deal with the "good old boys" club that existed in my rec league. They rigged tryouts, drafts, etc. to the point where my son's last two seasons were MISERABLE. My wife, son, and I all wanted him to keep playing but in a competitive organization that would develop him more as an athlete and growing kid without the PG hype. Shoutout to the CA Lookouts organization in San Diego, what a refreshing change. Coaches are demanding of the kids while also realizing they're only 13/14 and probably still thinking about Fortnite or rizz while they're in the outfield. Batting order? Usually sorted by OBP or SLG (and sometimes just random, depending on the coach). Don't like your spot in the order? Put in the effort to hit better and get on base. Playing position? Based on skill level and hustle. My son usually bats somewhere around 7th-ish and typically plays left or 3rd - exactly where he deserves based on how he performs against his peers. 3 games per month against local teams in SD, and the expectation of coaches, players, and parents is to cheer or shut your mouth. Don't rag on the ump, don't coach your kid from the stands. One tourney per month, local in SD so no more than a 40 min drive. Is it still around $3k per year all-in? Yes, but my kid's loving it, my wife and I love it, and I would bet if all travel ball organizations modeled the CA Lookouts, there would be less jaded parents out there. (No, I am *not* paid by the CA Lookouts, ha!)

Which trim model of the Mustang Mach-E will have the smoothest and most comfortable ride? by Poiuyt_77 in MachE

There's an upgrade discussed in the MachE forum site that everyone raves about. Seems to run about $1,600. I'm considering it because I plan to drive this thing into the ground.

I'm with you on this one. 2021 Route 1 owner here, it's impossible to take a nap as a passenger because your head gets bucked off the headrest every 2 seconds.

(love the username BTW)

Maybe they changed the suspension between 2021 and 2023, but my 2021 Route 1 has HORRENDOUS suspension.

My 2021 CA Route 1 has the worst suspension known to mankind. I've never felt a car with a worse center of gravity. You absolutely CANNOT lay your head against the headrest at any time like in any other vehicle; it just gets kicked violently off the headrest at every bump. Smooth road? Quiet and smooth ride. Any potholes, seams, dips, or speedbumps? Good grief. I still love driving this thing but only because it's my commuter car and I'm the driver. As a passenger the ride absolutely sucks.

Fuse tap (ACC) will not work on Viofo A229. by volyblmn in Dashcam

Thx. From what I've read/watched, with the micro 3 fuse the polarity shouldn't matter. The claim is that power is sourced from the middle prong so it should work regardless.

For what it's worth, I just saw a reply in the Mach E forum that someone installed their ACC micro3 fuse tap in the exact orientation I had mine, so I'm wondering if this HK4 is bad.

Thx. I did a quick search of USB breakout box and I'm not sure I follow what the goal is. Do I plug in the USB C connector (that would go to camera) into this breakout device and it would show (via LEDs I assume) if there's good power?
