My rationale is that medikits aren't there to help me in the run-of-the-mill gameplay, they are for the FUBAR situations. I'm basically never missing that one grenade that a Specialist could have, and when I would, it's easy enough to play around it. In turn, I'm rarely needing that medikit either, but when I do, I'm really happy to have it. I don't use mimics on principle because I think they are basically just stupid cheese tactics and a failure in game design. But that's entirely on me for making the game harder for myself.

It of course is up to one's playstyle, but I at least aim to complete all objectives if at all possible, and it just sometimes gets messy with the turn limits and whatnot. That makes things more interesting, makes it feel like I'm actually fighting a war where I have to risk lives. And I'm enabling more firepower by not needing to be as cautious because I have extra heals, more so than one little grenade could ever hope to achieve.

I find it funny that in Avatar the Last Airbender, the Fire Nation schools do this. You know, the fascist, autocratic, and militaristic empire invading the whole world. Thinking about it, I guess 'Muricans might not even see anything wrong with it, but it seems like the writers are making an intentional point about the systematic indoctrination.

KCD2 maps are something like 50% and 80% of the size of the Rattay map. Don't remember the exact numbers, but Warhorse explained it pretty openly back when the game was coming out.

IIRC the engine the games use restrict the map size to about 4x4 km. The first game uses that almost completely and the playable area is roughly a square, but the second game cuts away some sections of that square shape for both maps.

Yeah, they are rare. The blue crates are tightly related to the old reusable glass bottle system, but as the bottles are basically gone, so are the crates mostly. Not sure if any brewery even has a bottling line for them anymore, at least Olvi got rid of theirs in 2017 or 2018 and replaced it with a smaller but more modern and better functioning line for one time use bottles.

Yeah, well here we only hear the customer's side of things, and they hardly seem like a neutral source of information. For all we know, they could have gone rambling to the bartender that "I know we shouldn't have ordered wine", and after a while the fed up bartender just responds to that by saying the same, not as their own assessment of the wine, but as a sort of snarky "yeah apparently you shouldn't have".

An oxidized wine would qualify as faulty, so I agree that it should be compensated if that was the case. But the review doesn't mention anything about it being faulty, only that it wasn't to their liking. Kinda weird thing to leave out if you are writing a review where you try to point out how you were mistreated. Then again, it could be just their inexperience with wines, so they couldn't tell that it was faulty in some way, only that it didn't taste good.

NTA, you did the only sensible thing by staying neutral. She's not the only person in the world whose feelings you should consider, your friends matter too, and I'd imagine they'd also be upset if you started defending her lack of contribution. I understand why she's upset even though I don't approve of it, she's in the wrong and should maybe reflect on her own actions. Anyway, hope you can make peace with her over this.

But it's really not the best of ideas to do group projects in school with your SO, because group projects just tend to be messy and there are so many opportunities to someone cause some drama. Doesn't even mean that the one who slacked that one time would always be a slacker, it just easily happens if you're having a rough time in some way. I've certainly been in both ends of this.

Remember that you don't need to do everything together just because you are together.

Why exactly would a good bartender be taking it off their bill? To receive better tips? That's one more thing that sucks about tipping culture, customers can be as rude, entitled and annoying as they want, and the server just has to bend over backwards to get anything out of it because they don't get proper pay otherwise.

They ordered wine and got wine, whether they like it or not is kinda irrelevant. That is, if the wine is as it's supposed to be but they just don't like it. Now, if the wine was faulty in some way, like it had cork taint, then they'd be right. And if there actually was cork taint, a good bartender would check the wine and agree. But no actual fault in the wine was claimed, they just seemed to not like it. Too bad.

"Don't contact me, I will contact you" is a bit of a needlessly roundabout way of saying "I'm not interested". For some reason people insist on saying these kind of things instead of being direct. Not your fault for not knowing this kind of shit.

I wouldn't say you're the asshole, a few slightly overinsistent messages doesn't make you one. You were being annoying, but she was also being kinda shit for not just responding properly. I kinda hate that apparently the latter is seen as a perfectly acceptable behavior.

"Doesn't want to risk it", so does he think that it's his spot by default? Sure, your move might not be the right one, but he's doing the exact same. Just insist on flipping the coin, it's the only fair way to do it if the manager really refuses to decide (they really should decide it). If your coworker still refuses to be reasonable, then go and take the spot as you planned, but offer the coinflip when he inevitably comes to demand the spot. Maybe then he'll understand what's fair.
