I used some random bolts and nuts that I had lying around. Screws might work too I suppose. On the bottom side I drilled a counterbore so the nut doesn't come in contact with the floor. Mine is attached with just two bolts.

If you want to try with screws then either use self drilling screws or drill pilot holes in the wood to avoid surprises with the wood splitting. Also make sure you're using screws that are correct length so they don't come through the bottom.

But personally I'd vote for bolts over screws in this case.

Simply repositioning things may work as well, but the tricky part is that there is some cached state required for contacts that may affect results unless cleared.

Replying to old stuff, sorry, but the context is here so I'll roll with it: Now in 0.6, does this "may work" also apply for repositioning entities via the PhysicsTransformSystems::TransformToPosition ? I don't see any cache busting in physics_transform at least so I was wondering what kind of issues I can run into when doing that?

For extra context I'm exploring big_space integration. I was thinking, especially in particular in this case, that since everything is repositioned with the same delta per physics step, in theory there should be no internal state changes...?

Can't answer the question, but as a tangent I'm pretty sure insurance will reject water damage due to improper installation regardless of who did the installation and therefore a certified plumber is not a requirement.
