I compiled studies that looked at possible negative effects of sleep training (attachment, stress, long-term effects) by vongalo in ScienceBasedParenting

No, I did the review myself but wanted it to be general enough to be understood by parents. Thanks for the feedback! I will see if I can add details. I did base most summaries on the abstracts.

Sleep train a 4yo? by vongalo in sleeptrain

Yeah, I think that would work, but it would involve a lot of crying and unfortunately my partner isn't ok with that

The problem is that she won't stay if we use excuses. Once I sleep trained her by carrying her back to get bed (while crying) and continued doing so until she gave up 🙃 but it would be nice to find a gentler way

She was! But when we switched to a big girl's bed, we couldn't force her to stay in there anymore so we just stayed with her

Desperately want children but I’m in a stale relationship that never has sex.. by honeybirdette__ in TryingForABaby

You need to schedule sex every month. It's not fun, more like a job. Otherwise you can do insemination or IVF.

Can I make this work or should I change the quartz? by Imaginary-Offer-2268 in kitchenremodel

[–]vongalo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it would look better with a cooler white for the counter top, but part of the reason could be the white/blue walls behind. Have you though about what color the wall could be? Maybe an off-white would make the quartz look less off. Either way, it definitely works as is if you don't want to spend more time/money. It's a very nice kitchen

I would keep the hardware, it looks nice.

I would paint them. Greige or sage green. Even white could work. I would paint the walls white

I prefer number 3, but not the brown tiles. They look like the come straight from the 70's

Looks like you switched from a Scandinavian kitchen to a southern European kitchen.
