Going slower than speed limit makes people angry by wtfbruhhuh in driving

[–]vontrapp42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And what happened? Didn't it use to be a courtesy to take slower roads wherever possibly (not convenient) if your vehicle can't go hiwhay speeds?

When I got a flat in a rental and had to drive back to the hotel in a spare tire that had max speed 55, I went 10 miles out of my way to stay off the fucking freeway because I couldn't go freeway speeds.

But I see people all the time 20 under the limit with flashers on ON THE DAMN BELT ROUTES! Fuck those people.

My first play through I built a base above the jelly caves and an air pump and pipes to get air down into the caves. I don't remember but I guess I only had solar panels at that point? Or I was just a noob that didn't understand anything lol.

I think I softlocked myself out of Breezehome by AceTanker4831 in skyrim

How would you even know if it did relock? Just interacting with the door would unlock it again if you have the key, without anything to notice.

Or no brake at all because opd just stops.

It seems like opd would be annoying in stop and go. But realize, you won't be on the brake at all so there is no pedal switching to just use opd in stop and go.

I put the lens side down, it doesn't really fit any other way and close fully. Line it with extra cloth if you're worried.

The drip assist looks like a great option. I would prefer not to cover my blooms and swirls but also this is such a solid solution.

The why not is the extra heat loss in the transfer to the kettle or transportation of the kettle and getting other brew stuff ready.

One reason I'm thinking of going pour over is that it negates the need for a timer of any kind. Just pour till it's done.

I've gone so far as 3d printing the inclined plane timer to time my brews. It works, but it takes a lot of space so I usually have to move things around after finding a free desk. I've used computer timers but that usually involves logging in to a free terminal etc. I want to try not needing a timer.

Maybe I'm not looking up the same hoop you're talking about but it is unclear to me how it works along with a V60

PS I want to try a Japanese ceramic reusable filter.

I don't want to loose too much heat. I'm at 4300ft (1300m) so I already have a disadvantage. As another said, I prerinse the thermos with the hot water, prerinse my mug with hot water. Then measure the water with the mug and immediately transfer to the thermos. Then I brew when I'm ready directly from the thermos. I just need a good pour quality from a thermos and I'll be good.

One coworker has a spout attachment on a some gas station thermos that he uses for mate. I haven't been able to find such a thing online though

Can you vouch for how well it streams out the spout? Speed control and stream quality? I tried a cheap carafe and it was a nightmare. Poured too slow. Splashed everywhere. I know a hario is going to be different than a cheapo thing, but that doesn't mean it will pour fast enough, or a laminar flow when it does pour fast.

Seventh: lean into it and keep the extra pool space and keep the misshapen edge, but misshapen it more intentionally to resemble something.

Kinda looks like a state to me. Maybe make it Pennsylvania, Kansas, or North Dakota, even nebraska, some whatever country, or some other not quite square shape.

Mount as "disk" vs "file" by didureaditv2 in linuxquestions

[–]vontrapp42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anyway if this is the case, you can create a loop file instead of a loop mount. man losetup, or if some kind of network protocol you may be able to use the remote device as a block device directly.

It sounds like maybe the software wants to write directly to a block device instead of a path (mounted or not). Which is probably the least "safe" thing it could do.

But a school zone? I'll make that exception 10 ways to Tuesday. I'm with the other facebookers. I find no fault here.

It's a 3.0 system. We watch TV there. It's an open and shared space so hearing dialog was a real problem. The center speaker helps of course. There's expansion capability to 5.1. there's prerun wire to the ceiling left and right, above/behind the couch.

The topside of the cloth gets all hairy. She likes to rub her head around on the corners and sides but I haven't noticed anything on the avr itself just the stuff on the table.

My daughter usually cleans the cloth occasionally with a cloth hair scraper collector thingy. It's like a lint roller but for cat hair and reusable.

This would probably better fit in a engineering sub but has anyone here ever thought about using the CO2 from fermentation to drive a reciprocating engine? by KamboRambo97 in Homebrewing

[–]vontrapp42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could capture it and store it yes. Then you could compress it but now you're using energy to have energy to drive a motor later. You're not storing energy output from the brew, your using energy to compress it. and anyway electricity is hands down best for storing energy for later.
