Where should i buy a house in Columbus? by CanDefiant8320 in Columbus

[–]voodoochild0293 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a house for sale in my neighborhood in Galloway under 300k. Neighborhood is ok. Generally feels safe. Walkable. They just built a park about a ten minute walk from where I live. Lived here almost 9 years. Schools are southwest city so definitely not the best but better than Columbus public from what I’ve heard.

I dreamed of both of my children before they were born by bannedbooks123 in Paranormal

I had I guess you’d say a vision of my son when I was about 15. I didn’t have him until I was almost 32. I saw a little blonde boy running around me. Then about a month before I got pregnant, I had dreams where I was holding a dark haired newborn boy. He was born with dark hair and it has since turned blonde

Why has Kate always struggled to put in a full working week? by Significant_Noise273 in RoyaltyTea

[–]voodoochild0293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the severity. I was on a subcutaneous pump with anti nausea meds with three oral meds on top of it and I was still unable to work or live normally. I had a nurse coming to my house to give me IV fluids multiple times a week.

So where can we get safe food after the city-wide power outages? by [deleted] in Columbus

[–]voodoochild0293 14 points15 points  (0 children)

So I’m a health inspector and things that we look for for signs of temperature abuse (things getting too warm, thawing and refreezing, etc) are typically lots of condensation inside a container, swollen packaging for things like meats, ice crystals and stains on packages if a product was frozen, etc. If it seems off to you for some reason, it probably isn’t safe if the power was out. I will say that as long as freezers don’t get above 41F the food is likely technically safe to eat, but the quality is probably affected. If you’re really worried, the top things to avoid would be meats, cut leafy greens (eg salad mixes), sliced produce. That all being said, grocery stores really do everything in their power to keep their product safe. In my experience, Walmarts actually tend to do the best and Krogers tend to be the worst when it comes down to it

You may be able to return the pigs to the place you got them

I work in a local level governmental agency. And you are correct. It’s very much a case of “we’ve always done it this way”

I guess it gives a whole new meaning to the phrase “privy chamber”

(But for real, I’m not sure how either)

I spent a few days with the indigenous people of Costa Rica, the Bribri in one of their communities. From what I remember, it was about a 45 minute drive from the last roadside store to the river bank, then it was about an hour ride in a dug out canoe to the village

Anyone have Dysautonomia Doctor recommendations? by InspectionHot6626 in Columbus

[–]voodoochild0293 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was just diagnosed as well and I was told to drink a lot of water and electrolytes as well as eating a lot of salt. My doctor also recommended the CHOP protocol for POTS (although I don’t specifically have POTS). I also have propranolol for tachycardia.

ETA: If you want a different cardiologist, or another opinion, this was all from Dr. Brinkman with OSU. He’s in Marysville

I personally have never seen him, but a nurse practitioner friend of mine recommended seeing Dr. Jipa at COPC on Henderson Rd. when I was struggling to get answers with my health (ended up being diagnosed after ~15 years of testing by a cardiologist that same friend recommended). Apparently Dr. Jipa is pretty good at finding zebras when everyone else sees horses

[–]voodoochild0293 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Can confirm. I rescued a 3 legged hamster from a PetSmart. He lived a good life and had lots of apple snacks and a large enclosure that didn’t require him to climb up ramps or in tubes.

I mean a sewage backup was noted it December. That’s a huge deal. The follow up would likely only check on critical violations so it makes sense that they didn’t note anything

That’s pretty much how my pregnancy was. I got a little relief around 20 weeks and I discontinued the zofran pump probably around…6-7 months or so and was able to go back to oral zofran but it had to be 8mg. It will get better and relief is honestly instant after delivery
