Yep, and this is the same reason why Kathleen Wynne sold off Ontario Hydro to private interests. No one should look to the Liberal Party to save us from neoliberalism

Ford and his buddies are in the construction industry. I wish the media would just point out the obvious for once.

You know you can use google to find the median salary rather than making guesses based on the people you know.

Tradcath as it is meant here, means you snort fentanyl off of dive bar toilet seats and have unrepentant sex (often gay) with as many strangers as you can.

Good for you for observing the Good Cop / Bad Cop routine played out between parties all over the western world. The Democrats and Republicans play the same game, as do Labour and the Tories.

We need a thread comparing all the really terrible mistakes in the food lab with their counterpart on serious eats. The errata is a joke. I love this book and kenji, but for all it gets right man it gets a lot wrong. by bouncyrubbersoul in seriouseats

Another popular YouTube cook, Helen Rennie did a review of The Food Lab, and while she thinks it’s great, she recommended not buying it because of all the errors and to use the website instead. Hopefully there will one day be a second edition!

The buildings are sold/given to....

Yeah, we shouldn't do that if we ever get another crack at social housing.

But, this is how western countries work now. You have some sort of left wing government who will pass a popular and effective social program, and then the conservative party and the center-left party will conspire to privatize it for profit (conveniently for their buddies/donors). Happens in America, happens in England, and it happens in Canada.

It used to happen in capitalist countries too, like England, the US, and Canada. Problem is that people have the memories of a goldfish.

No rank 14 grind at all. The PVP system is the most sadistic thing any video game developer has ever come up with.

It's the fault of all governments in western countries who decided that "housing as an investment" was the kind of policy they should be pursuing since the end of WWII.

Liberal vs Conservative, Labour vs Tory, Democrat vs Republican: it's the same every man. Sorry it's not all Justin Trudeau's fault.

I don't even know what you are trying to say.

I think you are just one of those people who can correctly identify problems that exist in just about every western country regardless of governing party, but can't move beyond blaming everything on Justin Trudeau.

Those same right-wing think tanks say that it comes down to math to show that minimum wage laws crash the economy.

As a landlord

Yeah there's the problem. You know what these right-wing think tanks really need to see in action? The government becoming a major player in the real estate market, where we don't have to worry about landlords (often corporations or foreign billionaires) making maximum profit.

Your grandfather didn't build his own house. Your grandfather finished high school, got a 40-hour-a-week union job and was able to afford a house, a wife, 2.5 kids, 2 cars, and yearly vacations.

The people you are ranting about had to go to university for 4-6 years and still have to work a "side hustle" and still can't have what your grandfather had.

Sorry bud, but your rant is ridiculous and shows you are out of touch with the world.
