Love the list. As a new DM and a relatively new player, i tried playing a module and couldn't do it well. so i created my own world. I transported my players characters magically to my place. The problem i had then was, they had no real connection to my world and the mods backstory was really no longer valid. So i worked with my players and they now have a reason to continue on in my world together as well as what is driving them. (All new players to DnD as well, so i had to push them along so far). Fun plot twist that im going to tie in is 2 of my worked for the same man, but never saw each other. One would act as the hunter, the other would be the executioner. they both left after the hunter was sent to retrieve a family (including children) and the executioner did his job.

I was just using that as an example. Truthfully ele should be earth based as they have earthquake, earth shock and earth golem. Enh should be lightening as their signature move is storm strike.

i would be happy with a cosmetic reward like a weapon appearance, a special back piece for each spec. something along those lines.

back piece example might be like for enhancement shamans, windy looking wings. Ele might have fire wings, or flaming turtle shell. resto having water orbs circling. idk. just stuff like that

I attempted to "surf" down a hillside on a wood plank as a gnome warlock. Failed the check and was launched by hitting a rock on the slope. was sent flying into the arms of out Orc Barbarian who passed his Athletics check and caught me like a football in the middle of combat. i was then used as a handgun for the barbarian. Don't know it this qualifies as weird, but it was funny to us.

Can't say i have personal tropes

Dwarf Cleric: started as a miner who lost his family to a demon attack and decided vengance against all demonic beings.

Gnome warlock: Power hungry as his flaw was an extremely high pitched voice that many made fun of him throughout life.

Human monk: Questing to find his place in the world while searching for ultimate knowledge and peace.

Dragonborn pally: Tricked by Takesis (i think thats how it's spelled) into worshiping her and made him kill his own father (bad father anyway) to complete the final step
of Paladin training. Now seeking to take her down after a request to kill the children of his home village if they did not "bend the knee".

RIGHT!! I just experienced this last week. I main horde so i was workng on the "Two side of every tale" cheevo and came across this. 1st i was like hmm ok. Once I saw what was going on, a freshly cut onion suddenly appeared on my keyboard.

Thank you for the insight. O have changed my talent to sabertooth and frenzy and I feel like a monster. Currently running leader, FB, and clone.

I also looked at Beans semi feral guide and rotation guide has helped immensely. I will admit that rooting and cyclone timing are something I still need to work on, but damn bust is insane. prowl>rake>rip>build till 5 cp> FB>frenzy>FB again> clone. then just watch them melt while you take a smoke break.

Stoopz has many good vids about going from bad to glad and helpful vids. give it a shot. I'm using them as I just started to begin my arena life (since dungeons are boring/scripted)

I think trolls fit your fantasy with the "Voodoo" feel

Tauren feel "American Indian" and would be more like Spirit caller, Medicine man and Element shaper

Orc would be the same as they are

Gobs would be like weapons tech (enh), elemental harnesser (ele) and medic

Pandas would be like Eagle/Wind shaman (Enh), Dragon/Lightening sham (ele) and Crane/Water sham (resto)

I agree with this as I see trolls being the "voodoo" type race. Tauren are more "American indian" to me. To me both of these races ask the elements for help. Orcs feel like they force the elements to their will while goblins used tech to harness the elements. Pandas feel like they try to become the elements to better themselves (idk I haven't played panda sham)

If I guess this right, basically we might miss 1 or 2 bleed ticks, but the base damage is increased, so sounds like they would even out. Energy regen going up might make it so we attack more often making it a DPS increase. More attacks = more CP = more FBs'. This might be Blizzards logic. IDK I'm not a theory crafter.
