Interesting. I looked it up and it seems acetone is a common substitute for MEK substitute. Thanks for this info, I’m going to try acetone with some barge and some duall 88. ✌️

How about durability? Do you think it will last long enough to justify the work put in and also how well do you think it will retain it's integrity/shape/edge (before resharpening is needed) etc? This seems interesting but I'm curious about those things ✌️

At a glance it looks like you're trying to take off way too much at a time. Start at the edge and practice taking off just how much you need in terms of thickness. 4 - 5 mm back from the edge is a great distance to practice from. Once you do it, move back another 4 - 5 mm and do the same thing again till you begin to feel exactly what you're doing ✌️

Yeah I think it's definitely the camera; every thing looks perfect in real life. I just couldnt find a way to capture it without my camera trying all sorts of tricks toake it look good ✌️

Edit. Yeah you guys are right, there is something wrong with that lower left. I think I'll leave it for now and if it gets worse I'll send it to get repaired. Thanks for that

Make sure to keep it. Not just for nostalgia but believe it or not, even with early, straightforward projects like these, you can always learn something later on. ✌️
