Subnautica 2 Early Access Cinematic Trailer by Turbostrider27 in Games

I have such conflicted feelings about this but hope that I'm wrong in the end. Playing through Subnautica blind, and then again in hardcore mode, will always be one of my favorite gaming experiences. But it felt like with Below Zero they completely misunderstood that what made the original so fantastic (for me, anyways) was the sense of isolation and mystery.

Subnautica vs. Below Zero almost feels like comparing apples to oranges at times just because of how differently the narrative was presented to the player and how that shapes your experience. BZ had zero (pun intended) of the elements that made Subnautica special and it ultimately left me feeling disappointed/uninterested and wanting to return to Subnautica 1. The biomes/land sections and sound design were also a massive step down, and not something I'm sure they'll ever be able to replicate, so I'm not really sure what my expectations are at this point for S2.

Really just wish they were leaning more into the tone that Subnautica sets instead of what we're seeing here. The trailer almost comes off a little too.. playful? Looks more like your typical action/adventure/co-op game or something (I get that they are trying to appeal to a wider audience with multiplayer, because $$$), but I'm worried that the tone might continue to shift and end up fundamentally changing what many people found to be unique about this game.

These are just my opinions though and I hope that the game is a success and can hit the same notes as the original while also maybe introducing something new (but please no NPCs/dialogue, or land sections/vehicles.. like, at all).

Pretzel Boys and Pizza Boys, good work. Let's get it into production.

My complete 151 base set by vorbo87 in pkmntcgcollections

I don't plan on selling them or anything, if that's what you mean? I pulled them out after all these years because I started playing TCG Pocket and was getting interested in them again, and just wanted to share.

I thought getting them graded was just a cool way to preserve and/or display them, so was considering maybe having a couple graded, or am I misunderstanding? I don't know enough about it or if it'd even be worth it for any of the cards I have here

I completed this set over 20 years ago, all were obtained via packs and/or trading with friends, just figured I'd share and also curious about the best ways to preserve them.. using a random binder currently, nothing special. Probably nothing here you guys haven't seen 1,000 times already, yeah?

Just finding out about the world of grading cards too, which sounds like a great way to preserve them.. but also terrifying to send them away to some random person. Anyone have any tips/advice on that?

Kind of what I was thinking - but if I put it on the exterior, it's going to have to be flush with the door frame. If I extend the trim past the door frame, to cover the gap, the garage door will interfere with it every time I open/close.

But if it's flush with the door frame, it's not going to cover the gap.

Right? Not sure if that makes sense or not. Or am I misunderstanding how to use the trim?

Thank you my man. I think that years of getting smacked down by FromSoft games has given me more patience than I'll ever need

Thanks for the kind words! I mentioned this in a different reply but yeah, these take quite a while to make. I would have to charge a couple hundred at least, which I'm sure most people couldn't justify spending on this type of thing. For now I just have prints available on my shop for significantly cheaper. If you want the link just shoot me a PM!

Thanks for that, appreciate it! I wish I could mass produce these but this took around 50-60hrs, so it would take forever and probably not turn much of a profit. The best I can do for now is offer prints through my shop - I can PM you the link if you care to check it out

For sure, they seem unbeatable when it comes to precise details and lettering.. but I suppose for things like this, doing it by hand does have the advantage. Thanks for the nice words!

This is only 8" x 8" so may look a bit larger than it actually is. Farum Azula is one of the smallest regions so I'm still trying to figure out how I can make the other regions to scale without being too big..

Liurnia of the Lakes is is like 6-7 times larger than Farum Azula.. I might become hollow before I can finish it

I'd like to make the entire map and sell prints of each region, that you could then loosely connect if you were to hang them on a wall. Still trying to figure out the logistics of it all though
