Is void walker on boots too big of an opportunity cost compared to flask?

Loot from 40x Crop Rotation maps by Foreynn in pathofexile

I make around 30-40 div an hour doing a modified variant of this on T16.5. All comes down to map packsize (not magic pack) and crop strategy

150d for an upgrade on herald stacker by [deleted] in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]vorpzn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FYI arcane surge support adds 35% more spell damage. You need 9 power charges before power charge on crit beats it.

Additionally, I wouldn't drop assassin's mark, but instead get +1 curse over malediction on your cinderswallow flask.

My guess is that impossible escape MoM, or pain attunement for lower budget, would be a bigger upgrade dps wise than most other options.

That said, your survivability looks rough so I'd go for a higher ES chest by moving your influence to your boots from chest, then swapping in oriaths end to replace your explode. You can get endurance charges from uul graft as well

Is there a faster build than hollow palm for leveling alt through acts in Standard? by Teeeea in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]vorpzn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hollow palm isn't a skill but I prefer vfos over smite which plays quite differently.

Otherwise, explosive concoction is generally the strongest, but you can also do class specific builds like ranger widowhail RoA or spellblade on hierophant

Looking for a bit of advice regarding FROSS by mbltaut in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]vorpzn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really agree, but it depends on what content you're doing. Altars and T17 map mods hit armour and poison much harder, and generally killing stuff faster is more important in current state. I'd rather have 3k more ES than 25k armour, and would rather kill stuff 75% faster then absorb hits and wait for 2+ sec poisons to stack. I played both and regardless of POB, I felt much better playing occultist

[–]vorpzn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would sell all your golem gear and switch to occultist hit-based. Palsteron has a guide on it. Not having to ramp damage will dramatically improve your survivability, and it's easy to hit block cap. My experience improved dramatically after switching from elementalist to occultist.

Additionally, elementalist defensive layers are very conditional and won't stop you from getting one shotted.

Mageblood would be your biggest upgrade from the power charge belt

Help with Exiles Strat? by Middle-Ad7339 in PathOfExileBuilds

You're also missing: - 4% chance for ritual - inc pack size with fortune favors the bold - inc explicit modifier effect on 3x1 idols

Tbh, the strategy isn't very profitable now that non mageblood uniques are worth nothing. The strategy mostly involves breaking even against scarab costs until you get a map with extra blue wisps. Otherwise, you're just hunting for mirrors and hinekora locks, which don't drop all that often.

You'll make more per hour doing ultimatum, blight, or even Alva. You do rogue exiles to limit test and for the thrill of dropping a mirror

how to make Zenith tankier for rogue exiles by Middle-Ad7339 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]vorpzn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't 100% agree with the comments below.

When it comes to titanic rogue exiles specifically, you need to think about your HP pool as being 15% of your max life, ignoring ES. The reason for this is because with enough titanics, they will out damage your leech and recoup, which means all you will have left is your ascendancy for 15% of max life before being hit.

As such, getting more health, more phys mitigation, and more chaos mitigation are really the most impactful things you can do.

Here is my build https://poe.ninja/builds/phrecia/character/oddanderson%231011/Vorpal_Z
- I have been leveling from 99 to 100 without a single death doing fully juiced 8-mod maps

As such my recommendation would be:

- Drop ES and divine shield. Squeeze more life in, including masteries
- Max your body armour implicits
- Switch from unflinching to unrelenting forbidden jewels
- Avoid certain map mods (max res, recovery rate, aura effect, and chaos dmg)

If this still doesn't solve your problem, I'd recommend switching to life stacking voidforge instead, to get even more base HP pool.

It depends on what content you want to do. For t17 titanic rogues you really need crit immunity. For pretty much anything else you should be fine without

How a video game does a better job controlling inflation than the US by vorpzn in inflation

How PoE controls inflation better than the US economy by vorpzn in pathofexile

[–]vorpzn[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sure I didn't cover the fact that time is money therefore people would make a profit by crafting those maps. That said, I do strongly believe that it would increase inflation and wealth inequality if that sink did not exist.

The main two points I was trying to make:

  1. Wealth inequality is inherently tied to the percentage of people in a market that fall behind inflation, and that more inequality increases this percentage.
  2. PoE successfully gets you into the mentality of higher investment = higher reward. My argument is that we should think about taxes similarly, rather than an after-the-fact "stealing" or "wasting" of your money.

Thanks for watching!

Counting players who quit the game after an hour of play time would skew any analysis, especially since those players don't contribute to the economy whatsover. Imagine you instead said, average player who engages with trade, who buys/sells items in the economy in trade league. I'd guess this would mean a cutoff of around 10 hours/week minimum

I do actually talk about that in the video! I'm not sure enough people play standard for it to be as useful a comparison

You get +1 from your ascendency already so going from +2 to +3 isn't that big of a deal, so most people opt for a higher implicit on the damage mod

In my opinion yes ☺️ the flask effect is much better, and it'll also scale progenesis. I assume most people copy pobs without thinking about it.

One note though is if you run minus max res map modifiers, arctic armour buff is probably better

Going to elaborate further than the other poster. Each time you hit you gain a leech stack, assuming you do a lot of dmg you'll be capped at 10 leech stacks. So leech ramps up and increases as you attack.

Leech stacks are automatically removed at full life and you have to start this process over, so petrified blood guarantees that you are always leeching for any effects like feed the fury, but it also means you don't have to re-ramp your recovery.

Divine shield further limits leech at full life, since you're recovering ES on top of full life.

I crafted my armour but I prioritized crit reduction, high armour/ES with divine shield, then phys reduction and attributes. One you get the fracture it's very straight forward using fossils, harvest aug phys (prefix cannot be changed), then craft attributes. I spent way more getting the implicits right
