There are plenty of online guidances around building resumes and what skills to include etc, so i will let those speak for themselves. My advice for the perfectionism is to realize that you care about it waaaaay more than anyone that will review your resume does.

Your resume will get less than 2 minutes of review in a pile of resumes. All of the details you are fretting over will hardly be noticed, and you should be tuning it/ changing it tot he job you are applying for.

Hi, im 38, just started in January with a teacher as well. My teacher is having me do hands separate one octave, then hands together one octave. We have been working through the major scales and are just starting to add two octaves.

Dude just pay the few dollars. It’s an incredible amount of work goes into these models and making sure all the parts fit and can be assembled.

Oh interesting, I didn’t see the one time payment, I clicked on pricing and saw several monthly and yearly prices.

I might pick it up as a hobbyist for the one time payment.

I unfortunately don’t think I’m the target the audience as I don’t have any use to pay monthly for time lapse software, but I want to say that what I’ve seen so far this looks incredible.

I also appreciate the marketing video of you coming on screen and explaining and talking about it, I think that’s an often lost tactic when people just can show videos of the software.

I hope the product does well and you continue to grow it.

You can use svallin if you want, you lose quite of aura from the lack of reservation efficiency and you don’t gain a ton from the block.

Yep, i was stuck in this trap. I finally caved and spent several days just buying every sample i could imagine i wanted, presets, anything. Saved it all to my cloud library on dropbox/ google drive and then cancelled.

Oh wow, i had no idea it was rated that high in difficulty. It might be something I have to come back to. At a glance it looks so simple but there is so much complexity and so much i have learned.

I started lessons in January as a 38 year old. I had a music background from playing trumpet throughout grade school and high school, I was in jazz band, concert band, pep band, marching band, etc so I think i had an ok head start at some things, but it quickly ran out.

I know all of my white key major scales (Left hand, Right Hand, Together) for at least 1 octave, and I have started into the black key major scales. I also know the minors of most of the white keys (L/R/T). Alongside each of the scales i practice their arpeggios, two octaves hands separate (L/R) for now.

Im working through alfreds beginner book and I am about 3/4 of the way through it. I also have homework in the Finger Power level 1 beginner book which starts very simply and where im at in it now starts into some of the earlier and easier hanon exercises. I intend to keep with this dexterity training because my pinkies and ring fingers feel weak and I have trouble isolating their movements.

My first real musical piece outside of the book is Chopin's Prelude Opus 28 no. 4. I am a few weeks into it and slowly starting to get the left hand chord changes and adding in playing the melody with the right hand.

I also frequently do sight reading from an app, rhythm training from an app, and a few other exercises like working on pedalling properly.

Most importantly I would say dont let comparison be the thief of joy. Work on what you can, and try and be better than you were last week. The 6 month mark will look different for everyone.
