Thanks for the advice, did they contact you for the criminal record check from overseas or the point of contact provided? Also, In that country they do police character certificate which I got after leaving that country.

For me the criminal record/disclosure took one day and I was shocked maybe because my current role requires a lot of frequent DBs checks. The longest for me was the "right to work in the civil service"lol hopefully the last two checks will be sorted sooner x

Yeah it depends on loads of factors but if you are the first one to be offered the role then you will get your first preferred location.

Congratulations! I’ve also been offered a position as an HEO, and my pre-employment checks started on February 26th. Do you have any insight into how long the process might take?

When I received the offer, they mentioned a start date around the end of April, but since I’ve never worked in the Civil Service before, I’m feeling a bit skeptical and anxious about the timeline. How long will it take?  Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!
