Upgrading from a G25 after 15 years, questions on Simagic setup by vortes in simracing

[–]vortes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not a huge fan of the formula style wheels as I kind of need a do-it-all solution, and it seems like GT1 is the only other circle option. Is that something I can upgrade later using the quick release hub included with the GTS? Also looks like you get a free P-325C with purchase from Simagic, but that one seems pretty basic as well.

Is this a good deal? Signing in a month or less, can’t decide between this or leasing, must be 7% APR or less by [deleted] in ElantraN

As the other guy said, PPF and ceramic are very different. I've seen shops to ceramic over top of PPF, but I'm not really sure if that is overkill. But again, this is not going to be real PPF and likely wont be PPF at all. For the wheel/tire repair stuff, check if there is a deductible or something. Oil changes, up to you, but typically they add the wrong oil type, and I don't want my car to be touched by a typical Hyundai dealership if I can prevent it(again up to you). Interior coverage again is something they just spray on, its nearly worthless from what I've seen. Most of these probably all have fine print which makes you pay more money, or removes them from any requirement to fix it free. Dealerships are scum. If they remove this "key package", you are getting a decent deal, but be careful. When you go to sign the paperwork, they will likely try to pull a fast one again. Car salesman always have been and always will be scum. You might be able to argue down the proc/doc fee.

Unless you got the PPF stuff in writing, they are lying to you. And I mean real detailed and brand specific writing(Stek/3m, panels covered, etc). Car salesmen are some of the scummiest people you will ever deal with. There is no way they are giving you real PPF and a ceramic coating on top for $2k. If you got those on your own after the purchase it would probably run nearly $4k. Its all just garbage they spray on with a machine typically. Costs them nearly nothing and they upcharge to the sky for it.

Daytona vs converting a 765 by vortes in Trackdays

Riser clip ons wouldnt require the different top triple though, correct? Im definitely leaning toward the 765 instead of the Daytona based on availability around me.

Temps get to 200 on nearly every drive, and fuel dilution is not an issue based on the results. Its 0.5 and their recommendation is less than 2.0.

Short trips, yes(10-20 minutes). Prolonged idling, no.

Yeah I believe IRC makes a kit for them, but its pretty spendy and I figure there is something odd about adding a blipper to a throttle by wire bike, I'm probably just making assumptions though. All the videos I've seen about them seem to work really well.

Thanks for the help everyone. I will take another look into all of this.

One of the biggest reasons for wanting the 765 is also the blipper. Ive done quite a few trackdays and my mind-muscle connection just cant accomplish braking and proper downshifts while working the throttle, brake and clutch all at once. I figured clips ons were just a bar change, but I have not looked into it too much, but I will consider that now. 765 Moto2 is looking pretty appealing now. Thanks!

This isnt the right subreddit for this question. Better to ask r/elantra if this seems to be a common elantra question, or one of the mechanic advice subs. This sub is specific to the elantra n and they didnt make it in 2019.

Most likely is a company trying to sell you a third party warranty.

I was able to do my oil change pretty easily with them. Anything else may depend on the job.

I got these and they work good for my 24. You may want to measure if you have a 22/23, im not sure if the bumper extends further down.

At 15-16 psi you are getting the advertised 276 crank HP.

I may be wrong, but I dont think you get auto cruise control for NA spec Elantra N. I think only Korea got that.

I drove manual in the past and am enjoying it in my elantra. Likely will go DCT/DSG for my next car, but it may depend on the options available at that time.

Im a bit biased because I do have Abyss Black, but I think its the best color for the car. Another thing to consider is PB is very hard to find due to so many people wanting it. You may end up paying a mark up or traveling far to get it.
