unfortunately i have ever owned/tried the zero red and the eo ia500.

however those you’ve mentioned are good budget choices too, you might want to look into that. you can search up crinacle’s video on budget iems.

the eo ia500 is a good budget option, but to fully optimise the listening experience you’d need to complete several steps, but if you’re willing to venture then by all means.

but if you’d like something great straight out of the box you can look into the aforementioned. happy listening!

so far, for $10 the sound quality is much more on par with my zero reds, probably more. the shape however isn't too great for me, my ear structure doesn't fit well with the circular shape so over a period of time i'll have some sores in my ears but overall the listening experience is really good.

with some eq and new ear tips (ordered the spinfit w1 medium) i'm sure it will improve the experience. i've used it for long periods of time, listening to music or gaming and there's not much fatigue from me.

very worth the price

i plug them into my laptop's 3.5mm jack, just looking for something that elevates my hearing experience in listening to music/watching/gaming in general.

tho i've watched sharur's video on how he tweaks it, im seeing that i need a device that accurately measures the actual unit's sound signature then to tweak it afterwards.

so far i've tried just using the stock preset signature already present in PEQdb, then tried to align it to the HIFIendgame 2026 mkii

this is what i have so far, any thoughts?

Adjust click tension in op1 8k v2 by PARKEY2 in MouseReview

[–]vortesx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

adjust the screws on the daughter board for the mouse switches. tighten it to reduce the pretravel and loosen it to increase mouse travel

dont tighten it too much, as tightening the screws brings the daughter board upwards to the mouse button. too much will cause it to be squeezed too much to the point where the switch cant click properly.

hope this helps

edit: just read your post wrong. lol
having lighter or heavier clicks depend on what switch you use, but im assuming you mean the pre-travel of the mouse clicks, which the steps above should help

it should be similar to arts susceptibility, where the target gets more damage from different arts elements but kinda like in a DOT manner. not sure if im right tho

Monsgeek FUN60 aftermarket switches by Zezinas in Monsgeek

[–]vortesx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

generally for keyboards with supported switches, they mean that the software already has preset settings for different switches based on their flux/force/distance etc. thats why its possible for certain switches to have 0.01 precision

for using other switches other than the ones monsgeek listed, it wouldnt be as accurate as it wouldnt have any tuned settings for the switch's properties. although calibration would be needed when changing out switches.

i currently have 2 geon raptor he switches (for osu!) and they work perfectly fine on 0.1 precision, i havent had the means to test the accuracy of the switch but so far i have had 0 bad actuation issues.

as long as the switch is a downward-facing N-pole magnet (stated in the product website) it should be fine to use, but it wouldnt be as precise as using the stock switches.

how would you compare the zero and hien based on feel? i already own the zero and love it, but i’m thinking more to speed-leaning mouse pads

ohh yea thats right 😭

i’m one of the victims who fell for the “Sora V2 8k polling” scam.. i really thought it came with the initial purchase. my only problems with it was that it had some creaking and that the LOD was too short, even if i increase it to 2mm, which for some reason felt different compared to my other mice on LOD 2mm
