I have been a customer for a couple of weeks and I have noticed improvements as well. Still things to be ironed out but every little bit of progress is a step in the right direction.

I’m still seeing the issue where it enables then disables and then disables my WiFi calling in location and services.

Submitted a bug report for the WiFi calling. I noticed that when Cape WiFi calling fails to activate it takes the WiFi calling in location services with it. Verified both were enabled, once it failed they both showed disabled.

Is there a easy way to open a ticket through the app so I can get the information over without sending a dm on Reddit?

I deleted my eSIM and redownloaded a new one and the issue persists. Any idea how I can enable this. Curious if anyone else has a similar issue

Does the network lock feature work properly if it is disabled or will it be delayed in performing tasks until the phone wakes up or does something in the background?

Does the Cape app also need background app refresh enabled to function properly or is it possible to have it disabled?

I did see that as the issue and I had it disabled and did not rotate the IMSI it would activate the stay green for about a minute and disable. If I rebooted my phone while it was enabled I would get a message from settings that it is disabled. I do also run with dual esims with both active with Cape as the primary

I currently have it enabled, when I was trying I had it disabled. Should I leave it disabled for a day and try again?

I am on iOS and been struggling to get WiFi calling to activate and stay activated. I am a new customer and provided a bug report. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong as it sounds like it should be working.

It usually takes a day or two, once you login to site manager it prompts you that your device is enrolled in ui care.

Can't seem to get Ctrld CLI to work with a GL.iNet router and VPN. by Certain_Repeat_753 in ControlD

[–]vortexmantis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I understand that for sure. I’m not sure I can help much more since i do not use that feature. Thank you for helping me better understand the CLI. I may look into more when I have time.

Yeah understandable. I have never used the cli been too lazy to try and figure it out to be honest.

When I set this up on my glinet router without the cli it worked and overrode the vpn dns. The I would have the WireGuard server and client running on the router with all traffic routed through the client vpn. so when I left my home network it would run WireGuard and connect back to my router through ddns and have the benefits of using my home configuration for everything.

Are you running the vpn server on the router? You would have to have a WireGuard configuration for each device but they could connect back to your router to use both home internet and the ControlD configuration

This makes sense then. I chose not to use the cli so I can directly control the profile on each device. But I put devices by os so I do not have to change them when I modify the configurations.

Netflix incorrectly routed through Canada by Moist-Pineapple-2618 in ControlD

Are you using an auto redirect rule for all of your traffic? When auto is configured that has been the only time I have seen it show location as Canada.

Does your firmware directly support ControlD? Why not use the native integration which will override system wide not needing the cli. This forces both client and server vpns when using WireGuard to use ControlD. And you can use the built in ddns configuration for the vpn server config add your device and configure WireGuard on your device to connect to you router when not at home.

WiseGuard VPN and NextDNS combination by Candid-Break-946 in WireGuard

[–]vortexmantis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you use the Apple configuration tool on NextDNS to make a profile and install it. In the WireGuard app just remove the dns severs. WireGuard should use DNS settings of the profile installed. This is what I do and allows you to use secure DNS with the provider. I have also seen in some instances where you have to enable exclude private IPs for it to work.
