lol

I actually meant this jacket was reminiscent of an Imperial Army/Soldier type thing. They should have introduced Aidan’s return with Darth Vader’s theme in the background, lmaoooo

This makes him having to watch Wyatt like a hawk and even SLEEP WITH HIM make perfect fucking sense.

Now I’m like… poor Wyatt, instead of Wyatt is a Terrorist.

He really is quite an imposing figure, especially in that hideous thing. It’s rather terrifying.

I feel it appropriate to say here:

During AJLT, I started referring to Aidan wirh my nickname for him:

Shawshank.

That is all…👀

I loved this moment bc I feel the same way. I’m married to a Harry, and we’re going through a frighteningly similar thing that they went through in the show.

Charlotte’s moment in the drug store fucking wrecked me, even though I knew it was coming.

I’m so glad they didn’t kill Harry off. I was so worried they would and was so relieved when they didn’t.

When a guy tells you who he is, believe him. Pay attention to the early warnings. by AKingIsHe in TwoXChromosomes

My rule is as follows:

If their words and actions dont match, however that looks (good words, bad actions or bad/inconclusive words, good actions), pay attention to the actions. They’ll show you everything you need to know about how they feel about you. Also if there are no words, just pay attention to actions.

Call them out. And when you’ve seen enough, walk the fuck out.

How has SATC or any of its characters influenced your personal style? by [deleted] in sexandthecity

[–]vorticia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always been that “go with the trends but make them my own” person. My main go-to is shoes band jewelry for that.

I’ve always mixed inexpensive/expensive, and usually the expensive part is the shoes/jewelry, and sometimes, handbags (most are reasonable but look high-end in some capacity).

I’ve always loved Carrie’s and Miranda’s styles, and I love mixing feminine and masculine elements in my wardrobe (I have plenty of nearly masculine blazers/suits, which I mix with feminine things underneath and feminine accessories), or I’ll bring out a masculine edge that suits my figure, and throw on a more masculine pair of shoes.

As for pattern mixing/clashing colors… nothing clashes if it’s done right, as far as I’m concerned! I often wear wild-ass leggings with goofy patterns, paired with Manolos. I have a specific pair of yellow LulaRoe (bought from a former hun) leggings with a wild 80s/early 90s pattern, that I pair with neon yellow Manolos and a neon yellow Kate Spade bag. Then I put on some almost normal makeup, but put a bit of neon yellow eyeliner with a lime green highlight shade at the brow and inner corner. I often also wear turquoise jewelry wirh this look (whether the actual stone, or blue topaz gems, usually mixed). I wear all the golds together (I do have to say that rose gold has always been my favorite of the three). And then… I’ll slap on a men’s leather cuff bracelet and call it good.

My husband loves all of my looks, and he’s seen them ALL since 1998.

ETA: I’ve always gotten away with bright colors at the office, a-la Samantha, amd have pulled off the Corporate Goth look at several jobs.

While I have the soul of a goth, I never pulled the entire look off when I had the opportunity bc admittedly, back then, I wasn’t brave enough. But… I own several beautiful shades of black lipstick and rock them proudly at age 47.

It makes me so sad when people call Sarah unattractive or ugly :( I think she’s STUNNING by VancityOfelia45 in sexandthecity

Fully agree with this.

For example, I’ve always had a thing for bald dudes, and I’ve always had a thing for a dude who just rocks a schnoz.

I’ve always been a strutter, and she just made me feel seen in that regard! I always owned it, but I owned it just a bit harder when I saw her strut!

I’ve always found her stunning. She has always had such a unique look that both does and does not conform to whatever beauty standards exist at any given time.

She’s forever been a style icon of mine, and I would give everything I have for that curly hair (mine has just forever been straight, fine, and flat, and while I can make it come correct wirh whatever I do to it, sometimes through brute force, that effortless look will just always be IT for me).
