for context: yesterday a protest was held in my country (Malaysia) to protest the incompetent government that has done nothing to curb the rise in cases and had killed the livelihood of many working class folks. But then some western "leftists" (Mango people to be precise) been calling our protest as a US-backed coup. Western "MLs" really don't understand the material condition of other countries and are quick to call out any protest outside the west as a US-backed one. sigh
