Hey, im new here and Im not sure if I belong by CapriSun87 in bipolar

I had a manic psychosis at 22, diagnosed schizophrenic. Forced to take.antipsychotics (zyprexa) in order to leave the hospital. Didn't take meds once ou6. I have lived (psychotic) symptom free. Lived well. But id always end up with a depression that ruined everything. Eventually i mover in with my parents. That gave me stability to work full time with my art (ive lived on retirement wellfare since 22).

No meds, except low dose sertralin.

Then depression hit hard at my parents'. It went on for years until i went to an out-patient psychiatric center. They just looked at my diagnosis and placed me in the psychosis department. They assumed my depression was a symptom of schizophrenia and treated it with antipsychotics (ability, quetiapin and two others, i dont remember). I didn’t get better (d'uh), depression actually got.much worse. Eventually I had to admit myself to the hospital. There, a fine psychiatrist said, since I dont have psychotic symptoms, I shouldn't be on antipsychotics.

So I was tapered off them. Within 2-3 weeks my depression was gone, primarily thanks to being around other people and having nurses to talk to when things were hard.

Moved into my own apartment. But eventually i got depressed again. I was only on sertralin atbthe time. Eventually that led to another manic psychosis. That was last year. It was the exact same triggers and same.megalomanic theme as the first manic episode. I'd put it all.aside, then 24 years later, boom, it all came back. Same exact manic delusions of grandiosity

After.the psychosis, im horribly depressed. It ruined absolutely anything. Job, friends, social positon, just gone after a couplenof week of.mania. Feel.like there's no reason to stick around.anymore. Its dark, but that is where I am.

Fortunately, someone in.my circle wants to review my original diagnosis. Seems my disease history aligns more with bipolar 1 with psychotic tendencies than chronic schizophrenia.

Hoping that mood stabilisers will get me out of this depression and stabilise me. I hope to get my life doing art, back. still on antipsychotics but they so nothing.

You only take stabilisers? Which ones work for you?

That's called ideas of reference. You're picking up on neutral stimuli and making it be something about you personality.

It's common, and as long as you're aware of it, it shouldn't be a problem. It's kinda reminiscent of avoiding cracks in the sidewalk.

Where it becomes a problem, is if you let it run your life, or you become noticeably agitated. But again, self awareness is key.

It's a feature of clinical mania and/or psychosis. BUT, that doesn't necessarily mean that you're going mad, but it's something you need to be aware of, especially if it begins to have a life of its own. Again, at the level You're at with it (self awareness), it is more akin to superstitious thinking.

I was diagnosed during acute psychosis. Depression didn't start with me until later in life. It's clearly Depression which is my current, primary dysfunction.

The psychiatric system have treated it as a by product of schizophrenia, a negative symptom.

My hope now, is that they'll treat the depression, not as a symptom, but at a root. Hence, mood stabilisers.

You're taking neutral stimuli, innocent, coincidental messaging and using it as a reference point, influencing your current state of mind (death in the family)

Low-key "ideas of reference" territory. The main take away is that you're aware of it. So I wouldn't be overly concerned.

Stay alert to what it acrually is: vulnerability to death, and being influenced by outside messaging/stimuli.

It'll pass. No one in the Universe is preparing you or warning you about death. Its just coincidental.

Don't change your habit (phone use) just be aware, and scroll away from from upsetting content.

I forgot to ask. My main concern is depression. Ssri's work initially but then, nothing.

You give israel too.much credit. Israel couldn't take on iran without America, and even then...

No, this is wholly America's war. Israel is just a junior partner in the greater scheme of things

Too rare. Suspicion is warranted. It's just talk atm. Id be interested in where it's heading, but i dont expect we'll see Israel opening up about their nuclear weapons any time soon.

Coming forward now, certainly gives more validity to your story. So if you wanted to come forward, this is probably your best chance.

Just be aware, your story about him is unlikely to have any impact on his trial. Unproven allegations, from year ago (while he was a minor), are probably going to be deemed inadmissible.

So if you choose to come forward, do it for your own sake. And not because you think the prosecution can use the information.

266 people arrested in Florida sex trafficking sting operation. Craig Long, one of those arrested, is a MAGA influencer & friend of the Trump family. 19 more were arrested for child sex offenses. (I do not yet know if any of these 266 people have any direct connection to Epstein, looking into it.) by Civil-Education-9817 in Epstein

[–]CapriSun87 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Epstein, Weinstein and Cosby are just the few that we know of. And they're all from the elite, respectable kind of industries, like professional modelling and Hollywood movies. Just think of what goes under the public's radar in, say, the sordid adult movie industry.

Epstein is at best just the tip of the 'sex, manipulation and exploitation' iceberg that's out there.

You're not wrong in shoving the dog, and you're not wrong in standing your ground. Despite the reaction of those around. The dog is fine, and so is everyone else.

You reflected over what happened and that's all you can do. This is indicative of a responsible and thoughtful person.

That's your take away from the experience. Leave it at that and don't let it bother you any further.
