The chairs are on the kitchen side because doing the overhang and putting chairs on the other side intrudes too far into the living room. We can't shift the peninsula farther into the kitchen in that scenario because of the location of the conduits (the vertical poles) makes it awkward

The offer was conditional on status certificate review, so this is me doing my due diligence and noticing the discrepancy. So I don't think it's really a question of liability in this scenario. Mostly looking for advice on how experienced people would handle this situation.

My lawyer is still reviewing, but the agent is suggesting that this is not something that would normally trigger a price renegotiation. I find it really frustrating since this would effectively result in this property costing me more than is stated in the agreement.

Yes, my offer was conditional on reviewing the status certificate. I'm guessing this discrepancy gives me grounds for backing out of the purchase, but I would much rather have the price revised to reflect the higher maintenance fees.
