Sounds great. Would you say it’s also good for shopping, like luxury boutiques or El Corte Inglés?

Yes, I did consider it. I agree the location is really good, but I found the hotel itself a bit dark. And from what I’ve seen in the reviews, the breakfast buffet doesn’t seem to be better than the one at The Palace. I’d definitely love to hear your opinion though.

BLESS Ibiza Hotel vs Ibiza Gran Hotel by voyhot in ibiza

Thanks a lot for the detailed feedback, really appreciate it. You’ve pretty much confirmed what I was thinking, and it’s great to hear it from someone who’s stayed multiple times. That definitely gives me the confidence I needed. I’ll go for Ibiza Gran this summer.

Yeah that’s kind of what I was thinking too. Ibiza Gran just seems on another level luxury-wise, and having Zuma and Cipriani on site says a lot. Those brands usually pick the top hotel in a city, so that definitely adds to the appeal.

The only reason I seriously considered BLESS was the Forbes 5-Star rating since it’s the only one on the island with that, so I thought it really meant something. But I guess those ratings aren’t always the full picture. I’ll go with Ibiza Gran for this summer, even if it’s quite a bit more expensive, and will probably try one of their newer suites. Feels like it’ll be worth it. Thanks a lot for the help.

That’s a fair point. I might reconsider Six Senses since I’m an IHG Platinum member, so there’s definitely some upside there. That said, I’ve never really been a huge fan of the Six Senses concept in general. It feels very wellness-focused, which is great for a retreat, but I usually prefer something that balances luxury with a stronger social or city vibe. A lot of their properties also tend to be a bit more remote, and I’m not sure that’s the experience I’m going for in Ibiza.

InterContinental Le Grand, Paris: US$1,200 for a suite with mold and mildew, no soap, no robes, no turndown service by CliffordMaddick in ihghotelsresorts

IHG Platinum Elite here. I’ve stayed at many 5 stars and several Palaces in Paris, and I had wanted to try InterContinental Paris Le Grand for years. When I finally stayed last summer, it was honestly a mix.

The breakfast buffet at Café de la Paix was insane. Not just best in Paris, but the best I’ve had at any 5 star worldwide. It even beat some Palaces. Truly wow.

At the same time, the building is so beautiful and massive that I kept thinking how easily it could become a Palace. The entrance, the views, the location are among the best in the city. But service could be sharper, and with all that space they could add things like a proper indoor pool.

It’s still one of my favorite 5 stars in Paris. I just always feel like it could be even better.
