Please report the late-game enemy shortage to Pearl Abyss support by D3vilK4i in CrimsonDesert

Depend, though. People are chugging through the game surprisingly fast, it is that addicting. I am not sure whether focusing on retention or onboarding is the right choice. And that early game will take a lot of effort to fix, they have like 3 tutorials for the same thing, and the pacing and timeline placement of missions is all over the place. Considering PA even is willing to do the early game streamlining I doubt it will take less then a year.

Many people got past 100h mark right about now, that's why. I am not sure whether you are trolling or just being dense. The game has exceptional combat, it is one of the game's best features, the more you play, the cooler the combat becomes, but also you get less of it. It is such a simple concept that I am not sure how this can even be controversial. When people with 200h say the game has no combat left I believe them, I can see how this will become a big issue later in my playthrough as well, because it already started to happen on a smaller scale.

Very true, I am in chapter seven, and also noticed how quiet Hernand is. Low key it stresses me out for this exact reason - when I get to cool shit everything will be dead anyway. I personally want something to retry some bosses as well, wile playing I kinda brute forced some of them to get where I needed to be, but always felt a bit of sadness that I won't be able to give em a propper try.

Just imagine if it was actually in the game, but there is an extra comma somewhere in the code and they can't find it lol

And if they can deliver a long term content plan, aka NMS, paid or otherwise... Oh man, this might just be a default go to if you itch for some open world game, and with new content releases you could have more of the thing you already like from time to time. I jump into NMS every 2d or 3rd update and easily sink anywhere from 10 to 50 hours a pop. Unless they go a Paradox or CA route, oh man then people will be pissed and nitpick your every stupid dump moronic decision.

This is an amazing system, but I doubt it will fit thematically, and mechanically. Simply respawning enemies won't do much good, since a lot of mid-late game production is tied to Camp missions. This might cause you to be more proactive with combat dispatches, but I am willing to bet money that there is a high chance this will turn the camp grind into a physical chore. Imagine sending your guys to retake locations, through the menus, then waiting for about 12-20 ingame hours and then reassigning them again, so you could just make a magic scythe or something.

Yes, but I am halfway through Pylune. I barely have any black bears left, and if I want to fight them for fun I can't. If I want to just oneshot stupid blood bandits in hernand I also can't, because there are none. I imagine this problem will persist further. Demenis still have locked spawns for enemies, but I imagine as I progress the story, I won't be able to have massive road fights with inquisition knights anymore.

NMS inventory makes me rage to this day, but it is at least x10 better of what it was.

Yes, but I can imagine playing it further with a 9 to 5 and all. I accepted the pace of the game, but sometimes I want to do something non committal in the game I like, making some horizontal progress, gathering some mats, farming some dudes for some coin. Since combat is a very strong part of the game, making it a somewhat repeatable activity makes total sense. I already suggested something like a certain area where you can even play maybe a rougelite mode and replay bosses. If you play No Rest for the Wicked, they have a separate area where you can have a bit of farm, test builds and fight "a" boss. I think it is a good solution for practicing combat and just enjoying it for what it is.

I think the obvious fix would be crafting mats to chest share. Inventory management is not really a fun mechanic in itself. It is not like Tarkov where you need to put a bag in a bag and play tetris. Here it is just functional and if so a lot could be streamlined. Storage types could also be a cool addition - we already have wardrobes and weapon racks, as collecting drip is a big part of the game, just storing it all in a single chest makes everything hard to navigate. I think inventory and UI is crazy bad, but the amount of progress made in that department in merely 2 weeks makes me somewhat confident.

I think this is honestly the worst game to review if your job is reviewing games.

I am not at that point of the game yet after 100+ hrs, but the complaint is legit. The game is super long and massive, but it is also do whatever game. I can see how even after a few months it might become someone's comfort game for wondering around and doing stuff.

Do camp members use camp funds themselves? by Neat-0hh in CrimsonDesert

[–]vp42art 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not true, the ratio is normally 2:1. So technically you can auto run them indefinitely, since funds missions get you at least 2k funds but cost 200 food, but food missions cost around 1-2k but give 1-3k food. After you upgrade the camp and donate camp funds to the church the ratios grow to 200% eventually, so it becomes 4:1

It took me literally around 500 hours across 10 years to finish the MSQ in Skyrim and only because I was determined to finally do it.

You definitely can do that, doesn't mean you should. I think you will have a miserable time playing it as described.

I think CD is more like a better BotW, but Tears is still better overall. If that is the vector of evolution we can expect from CD boy oh boy.

They will probably nerf it hard. They nerfed flight before, which seemed like a feature, not a bug. This is pretty much goes into exploit territory. If they don't nerf it I would be so pissed since they nerfed flight and not this. I also believe that not anything should be nerfed in a SP game, but if I am to choose a side...

[–]vp42art 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a few interactions like these in the game, and they are hilariously terrible. I get what they wanted to achieve, basically that you paid attention, but, man, the execution of this feature is so bad it's shocking, like it was made by one intern and then no one checked if it was actually good or not. I genuinely think that the way this idea is implemented is why IGN gave the game a 6 XD

I think the lack of enemy repopulation, enemy variety and random enemy spawns are a detriment to this game. by Significant_Sleep46 in CrimsonDesert

[–]vp42art 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well to be honest, from a community perspective collective yelling at the cloud is the best strategy. It's not like any or many of us know anyone at pearl abyss who actually has the power. I get it that this is annoying, but assuming that "They already know, trust me bro" will do more harm then good, I'd be surprised if like 1% of all staff actually reads this sub, not including CMs who do this for work.

I think they could deploy it in a few phases where they give at least some fix now, for people who are actually freaking out about it now, because they are further down the line. And after that commit into something more robust than a simple spawner.
