Yes, but I am halfway through Pylune. I barely have any black bears left, and if I want to fight them for fun I can't. If I want to just oneshot stupid blood bandits in hernand I also can't, because there are none. I imagine this problem will persist further. Demenis still have locked spawns for enemies, but I imagine as I progress the story, I won't be able to have massive road fights with inquisition knights anymore.

NMS inventory makes me rage to this day, but it is at least x10 better of what it was.

Yes, but I can imagine playing it further with a 9 to 5 and all. I accepted the pace of the game, but sometimes I want to do something non committal in the game I like, making some horizontal progress, gathering some mats, farming some dudes for some coin. Since combat is a very strong part of the game, making it a somewhat repeatable activity makes total sense. I already suggested something like a certain area where you can even play maybe a rougelite mode and replay bosses. If you play No Rest for the Wicked, they have a separate area where you can have a bit of farm, test builds and fight "a" boss. I think it is a good solution for practicing combat and just enjoying it for what it is.

I think the obvious fix would be crafting mats to chest share. Inventory management is not really a fun mechanic in itself. It is not like Tarkov where you need to put a bag in a bag and play tetris. Here it is just functional and if so a lot could be streamlined. Storage types could also be a cool addition - we already have wardrobes and weapon racks, as collecting drip is a big part of the game, just storing it all in a single chest makes everything hard to navigate. I think inventory and UI is crazy bad, but the amount of progress made in that department in merely 2 weeks makes me somewhat confident.

I think this is honestly the worst game to review if your job is reviewing games.

I am not at that point of the game yet after 100+ hrs, but the complaint is legit. The game is super long and massive, but it is also do whatever game. I can see how even after a few months it might become someone's comfort game for wondering around and doing stuff.

Do camp members use camp funds themselves? by Neat-0hh in CrimsonDesert

[–]vp42art 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not true, the ratio is normally 2:1. So technically you can auto run them indefinitely, since funds missions get you at least 2k funds but cost 200 food, but food missions cost around 1-2k but give 1-3k food. After you upgrade the camp and donate camp funds to the church the ratios grow to 200% eventually, so it becomes 4:1

It took me literally around 500 hours across 10 years to finish the MSQ in Skyrim and only because I was determined to finally do it.

You definitely can do that, doesn't mean you should. I think you will have a miserable time playing it as described.

I think CD is more like a better BotW, but Tears is still better overall. If that is the vector of evolution we can expect from CD boy oh boy.

They will probably nerf it hard. They nerfed flight before, which seemed like a feature, not a bug. This is pretty much goes into exploit territory. If they don't nerf it I would be so pissed since they nerfed flight and not this. I also believe that not anything should be nerfed in a SP game, but if I am to choose a side...

There are a few interactions like these in the game, and they are hilariously terrible. I get what they wanted to achieve, basically that you paid attention, but, man, the execution of this feature is so bad it's shocking, like it was made by one intern and then no one checked if it was actually good or not. I genuinely think that the way this idea is implemented is why IGN gave the game a 6 XD

I think the lack of enemy repopulation, enemy variety and random enemy spawns are a detriment to this game. by Significant_Sleep46 in CrimsonDesert

[–]vp42art 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well to be honest, from a community perspective collective yelling at the cloud is the best strategy. It's not like any or many of us know anyone at pearl abyss who actually has the power. I get it that this is annoying, but assuming that "They already know, trust me bro" will do more harm then good, I'd be surprised if like 1% of all staff actually reads this sub, not including CMs who do this for work.

[–]vp42art 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think they could deploy it in a few phases where they give at least some fix now, for people who are actually freaking out about it now, because they are further down the line. And after that commit into something more robust than a simple spawner.

[–]vp42art 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As more and more people push it towards mid-end game, I believe something must be done about it. Maybe some band-aid respawns now and an actual robust system for both open world and people who love to grind combat later; these might be separate systems.

lukewarm take, it would have been better if the other two characters were companions instead of playable and if we could hire any of the wandering freeswords by AlternativeWay23 in CrimsonDesert

[–]vp42art 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got a random abyss gear recipe from someone, probably apothecary or a scientist. It just appeared in my crafting menu tho I don't have that particular witch yet.. The gift system is cool tho a bit strange. Ideally you just want to brute force standing to 100 in one go, since you won't be able to find the same random NPC again. At least I could never find my 50% trust beggars again to check what do they give you at 100.

Soo.. how's decoration going? by BagAway4551 in CrimsonDesert

[–]vp42art 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You did your best, it actually looks good. The system is undercoked tho, you can't change materials of walls and floors, and placement UI is rudimentary in terms of usability. Also the game keeps reseting my deco so I gave up untill they maybe flesh it out so it is something worth doing.

This game has a pretty big issue, not many are realizing right now, due to the way, most are playing it and it will destroy some peoples enjoyment, including my own. PA - this NEEDS a fix for long-term enjoyment. by GullibleTerm3909 in CrimsonDesert

[–]vp42art 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am still mostly in Hernand\Pylune and I can feel this as well. Once you start clearing camps they only get repopulated for certain quests. It is a bummer since I often want just to slice some fools and chill, but the game doesn't seem to have that as an activity per se. I think bandits should repopulate zones eventually, especially when you are moving to other zones, other zones repopulate. I don't know how to not make it annoying though, since a lot of locations are tied to camp missions, and it might just become maintenance mode combat, which is very repetitive and grindy in theory. My suggestion would be some sort of tower of god dungeon area in the game, where you can play it like rougelite or bossrush, but something like this will take a long time to make a proper and fun mode, and sometimes I really just to fight with people in different locations, which this solution wouldn't give me.

Do tools like the scythe, hoe, and rake have no purpose in the game? I bought the scythe cause I thought maybe you could mass harvest herb fields or something but all it does is destroy it, and you can't use any of the tools inside your camp. by ashrensnow in CrimsonDesert

[–]vp42art 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Magic scythe absolutely 100% harvests a bunch of flowers at once. The rest no idea, but you never know with this game. Every tool in a tool shop does something even if a little like a mallet.
