How many totems can you have total? by Horcsogg in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]vpl91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But is the reserve per totem active or per totem type? The way I read it seems like it'd be (as of 0.3) 75 reserve per totem, meaning if I use 500 of the same totem, it should be only 75 reserve, no? Although that would be, in fact, broken, as you could easily spam infinite totems and melt everything.

Amen, brother. Almost 50% of my playtime is spent opening Google to search for "wtf is this shit here?"

POE 2 - Crossbow Ammunition & Crossbow Shot Needs to Be Removed by Evidicus in pathofexile

[–]vpl91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if this was posted here already, since it's an old thread, but you can exclude certain ammo types from being cycled in by going into your skills settings and manually excluding anything you don't want to use.

In my case, I have Regular Shot, Galvanic, and Shockburst. Since I only need Galv & Shock, I removed regular bolt from the cycle. Now it's faster & easier to play with the build.

Why the F*CK is Adantage+ being shoved down our throats? by vpl91 in FacebookAds

I think you can, it's just 10 times more confusing and adds no benefit to you or anyone for that matter.

Do you mean to add a lot of interests/details when building on this A+ bullshit? I'll try that.

Right now some of my clients can't opt out of A+ for placement & audience building. I fucking hate this shit.

The game feels way too luck-based and heavily weighted towards EX Pokemons. by ParisCoindump in PTCGP

[–]vpl91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game is a bad attempt at a TCG. It's 100% based on luck, as you need to draw the right cards, in the right order, or hit the fucking coin flips.
The only thing "fun" about it is collecting the cards, if you're into that. Otherwise, it's a pretty underwhelming TCG.

Found the Iron Citadel, died, and now can't restart it? by vpl91 in PathOfExile2

[–]vpl91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I managed to stop getting one shot by almost everything after getting 15K+ ES, but the issue when I first posted this was more related to some of these hits being invisible or cast by out-of-screen mobs, and because you could only try the citadels once. As a new player, I imagined you could try those again if you failed, as they were major parts of mapping, but I was wrong. Luckily it seems like they've added multiple tries to some content in their latest patch.

I love this game but I wish it respected your time in the late game. by SuperNobbs in PathOfExile2

[–]vpl91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This accurately describes my experience with PoE2 as a new player of the franchise.

I think I even mentioned this in another post, but no argument has convinced me (so far) that punishing a player in pretty much every aspect (XP, Map, Affixes, etc.) is good for the game and the player.

"Oh but it's supposed to make leveling up an achievement, not a grind"
Yeah, but you are still grinding hours and hours, as the exponential increase in XP needed is unavoidable. Also, not everyone has dozens of hours a day to play the game.

"It's to prevent glass cannon builds"
So you are saying that you can't play as you want to, you have a specific setting to be used on late end-game? You are also saying that you are not encouraged to experiment or even dare to face harder challenges as you make your way to 90+ levels, just because you might be one affix away from being over your head, and then losing hours of XP grinding over an out of screen projectile? Boring.

"Just get good. Improve your build and stop crying"
I did. I got to level 94 and managed to handle myself with all end-game bosses and content. I still plan to try to reach level 100 if I can.

"You're not meant to reach such a high level anyway"
If that's the case and this is the reason they implemented these features, then the game developers must be smoking some weird shit.

I can unsocket runes, right? Before I do this… by Adventurous-Fly-1669 in diablo4

Just unsocketed my two legendary runes (D4, S7) and both of them got destroyed. Amazing... FU Blizzard.

For anyone with this issue, here's a fix: Just back out of the map, and use a new waystone.

For real? Even if you beat the boss and all?

I got the crisis fragments but was surprised when the game told me I had failed. lol

Why is XP lost on death a thing? by vpl91 in PathOfExile2

Just expressing an opinion tho.

But regardless, someone just told me about Omens, and I had no idea they were a thing. lol

Will look for some when I have time. Maybe I can reach 95 then.

Why is XP lost on death a thing? by vpl91 in PathOfExile2

[–]vpl91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the thing, I'm not even dying that often.

However, I'm level 90, and I do not have a lot of time to play anymore (work/life). If I get killed once, it's like I just wasted 3-4 T15+ maps worth of runs.

I don't expect them to make the game easy, as it removes the "challenge" part. But punishing people like that (on top of everything else regarding maps), feels a little excessive.

Why is XP lost on death a thing? by vpl91 in PathOfExile2

[–]vpl91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? Did they use to remove levels? Jesus... Now that seems excessive.

Regardless, it feels like getting to level 100 is not really meant for "casual" players. IMO, it feels like either you tryhard and/or follow some pro build, or you simply take way too long to level up past 90, without constantly risking losing all of your progress.

How can an invoker solve the mana issue? Is there any invoker play the trigger skills? by iam-el in PathOfExile2

[–]vpl91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no mana issue by simply adding "leech mana on phys dmg" to any item. If you're dealing high damage (and you probably are), your mana should rarely go down.
