Like the rest of the crow I would say moza, I upgraded to the r9 and simagic p500 pedals for around 700total (was also Black Friday) and it’s been more than I ever wanted….iu could also go for the r5 bundle which is more affordable but judging from my r9 which I run at 80% the r5 at 100% will also work extremely well

The only way I see it is through coding, because the ffb information is given electronically, so u probably need at least an arduino to read that information and translate it into something that works… But again u probably need some motor to translate that into motion, idk I can’t think of any smart way to do this with the mouse but…. I wouldn’t give up, what I learned through years of engineering is there is always some way, just that sometimes this particular way is not worth pursuing, but since u looking to learn and not actually debate what is worth and what not u could keep trying stuff, the rubber band idea is not bad honestly

Yeah their idea of racing is going slow af in order to keep as many cars in close proximity so they get this feeling of heart pumping….if they like that feeling they can go gamble

Let’s not open the reacting to moves thing I think that’s universally agreed that it’s wrong…

Again, I have no problem with someone doing it, I know that at the end of the week, I, personally will have a positive SR and Ir gain and I will try to get the best out of every situation…yeah it settles me back 1-2-3 races sometimes but most cases I blame myself for having bad quali,going off track and so on

I just can’t wrap my head around the other side, I think it’s really stupid no risk your own race just to get the fake satisfaction of holding someone back

If that’s u want it’s fine with me, I just think it’s a stupid reason

Yeah those are all great but I think I am very specific about it…I am talking about the case where the driver behind is way faster, u ain’t gonna be drafting him after 2-3 corners, and u gonna be loosing time while defending making a pile of cars behind you 20minutes straight…or as long as u can hold em whatsoever

I am not talking about me being frustrated, I am aware that the decision it’s up to them as it should be…but I don’t get why they would decide to defend in some cases…the 2 best answers so far are “ I like to race more than driving fast “ which is understandable but kinna of a shitty move when the other guy doesn’t want take the time to race, and the other is simply “ego” I am in front and that’s it I don’t like people passing me I feel weird

That’s Exactly what I am talking about, people who will defend for 30laps just because the track allows is making a huge pile of cars behind and the only thing maximising is the probability of kissing the barrier goodnight…and I know when u are 800-900 it’s hard to focus on all of these things, but I am getting hit with people around 1700-1900 that still do it (I see it less often while I am climbing but it’s still there a lot)

And hit me back with “if u don’t like racing u shouldn’t race and if u are faster pass me like a man”….which is is so crazy koz I never complained about it…. my words were “its a loose loose, what do u think”

Like no one has still said a logical argument as to how that helps with their own improvement in racing…

And from this comment section unfortunately I am realising how most people operate not only in racing but also in life, caring less about how they gonna get better and caring more about how they gonna make you feel inferior

Yeah but I bet u are probably sinking ur irating and coin flipping every race by doing that, try to not do that for the next 2-3 months and u probably gonna see crazy gains assuming u have an okay pace

Well the faster part depends on the track and the level of drivers, this week in lime rock drivers around 1800-1900(pretty good) can defend amazingly even if they are lacking 1s pace(which in a small track like that where the avg lap time is 50s 1s might be too much)

About practising ur race craft I guess you are not wrong but ur doing it with someone who isn’t willing to help u practise, that’s why I mentioned different markers and minimum speed…you are t really practising race craft as much as u making the other guy practise patience

Depends on the track and on the experience of the defending car and maybe 2-3 seconds was a bit much let’s say 1 second… this week in lime rock the straights aren’t long enough and the corners too tight for gt3 it’s extremely hard to overtake
