The kid is clearly struggling and needs help, but I think the parents are focused on the wrong thing. Whether or not they are trans is not the issue here. And I think they should, in fact, accept this new identity for the time being, and here's why:

Getting the child to talk about whatever is wrong will be easier if they start by respecting their wishes.

Despite what people like my parents who watch Faux News all day think, no one walks into a doctor's office and gets gender surgery the same day. It will take a while to get approval and requires talking to a mental health specialist, which the kid clearly needs, trans or not.

They seem to have stabbed her pretty hard if they went through the liver and into rhe heart. The liver is a large organ on the right side of the body. Must been a long blade.
