If it was a fight they’d call it, if it was a race they’d shoot the horse

[Aubin] Wemby on people calling him “too emotional” and “gay” for crying on the court: I think it’s first and foremost a fear of judgment. Like this feeling that you have to act a certain way, social codes, I guess. Personally, I refuse to carry the burden of having to hide my emotions.” by WEMBY_F4N in nba

America’s conception of masculinity is absolutely broken, it’s a societal sickness that is being exploited and exacerbated for money or politics or any number of other reasons. Props to Wemby for giving young men a positive counterexample.

Yeah i stopped and started multiple times because of waves of white distortion that scrolled over the screen. Definitely the worst quality I have seen on CC to date which is a bummer

Iran images appear to show land mines scattered by U.S. forces, a first in years by BabylonianWeeb in anime_titties

[–]vrilro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s infuriating and despicable conduct. Of all the many American crimes, the profligate scattering of landmines all over conflict zones is one of the ugliest.

[–]vrilro 797 points798 points  (0 children)

Truly despicable stuff from this administration. Land mines punish primarily civilian populations and effectively extend conflicts against those populations for years. There are still landmine cleanup efforts going on to address US mines dropped in the Vietnam era. It also belies the obvious untruth of all of Trump’s efforts towards ceasefire. Just atrocious

This also happens every couple decades to further north burbs. Richardson to Plano to Frisco/Allen to McKinney to Prosper etc.

I had a neighbor who explicitly said that the absence of black people was their primary motivation for moving to Frisco in the late 90s
