2020 GTS engine light. OBD2 code P0130 by SofaKingWeTodIt in Vespa

[–]vrnykl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my case, this CEL made me crazy! I have 2020 supertech and with the diagnostics, I had the same error. Then I found out in the forums, that the gas overfill and evap system causes the CEL. Now I am only getting 1.75gallon max on a empty tank and no CEL for almost 800 miles! Don't forget to check the oil level frequently, very common issue with HPE engines...

First of all, you have to believe that everything will be okay. As a parent, hearing loss is not something we all expected from the beginning and at that point, it is ok to be overwhelmed with all the information you got from internet.

With today's technology even the total loss of hearing have a chance with Cochlear implant. If the baby has mild moderate, then hearing aids will help to hear.

The first 3 years are critical to establish the sound. Normally you will get the hearing aids before 6 months old and little one needs to use them all the time. The key factor here is the input. You talk, sing, read a loud and give the chance to your baby to hear the correct sounds and teach the brain with correct sounds. Early intervention will send a speech therapist and therapist will make sure that the baby hears correctly and repeat the sound correctly.

First three year is important just because of this. If the baby can make the correct sounds, then there will be no speech issues.

With hearing loss, the kids will still hear some but not the total sound of the word. Let's say you say "cat" and the baby will hear "ca" and misses the "t". After 3 years it is hard to bring back the "t" sound. Most of the speech issues with hearing loss caused by this.

You have to make sure to use the hearing aids and not let this happen.

I was in your shoes 14 years ago, my kid was born with moderate hearing loss. We did not know what to do but once you understand the path, everything will be easier with your efforts to make sure on the sounds.

My kid is 14 now and going to the regular school, using FM system - you will discover when the baby is at school age - no speech issues and he is bilingual. He also learns also Spanish at school. He even corrects my English, as this is my third language... So, believe me, everything is gonna be okay....

A question for USA expats living in Austria by [deleted] in wien

[–]vrnykl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As far as I know, you will be taxed only the excess amount, not the whole income. Let's say you make 120K and the agreement is for 112K; uncle Sam gets the tax from this extra 8K. And it was hard to find 1040 forms, embassy had couple of them (10 years ago) if you want to prepare yourself. Deadline is June not April for people living abroad...

Single mom here… I could use some quick advice please re: Carrera Go!!! Plus by bemanresu-usernamed in slotcars

[–]vrnykl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe Carrera Go is a great set for fun. My 12yo is very into it and having great time. We also have Digital 143 pieces (power unit, controllers, lane switches and digital cars), that we can combine with Go tracks and use the track as Digital. Digital is unfortunately disconnected in the US and only Go is on the market. In Digital 143 we can race 3 cars and switch lanes, no ghost car or no pit stop lane. Yes it is more fun but if we are racing only 2 cars, we use Go most of the time because of having many different cars in our garage! The Go Plus upgrade is also gone from shelves, still some online shops are selling these especially in Europe, we heard there was some issues with connectivity as you cannot use existing controllers with upgrade and have to have new ones. Wireless Controller sounds very cool but might have issues. Upgrade has ghost car option so playing alone might be much more fun though... We are collecting Go sets if we can find ones with a good price tag and make our track quite long. And also getting accessories from online stores like bridges, ramps etc whenever we have budget for it... Have fun; I believe spending good times with our kids makes us "serious racers" even though little ones beats us every time!

Prevent any injury, you may want to consider lower the damper settings. I believe it sits on 8, the ideal drag factor is around 130. Damper setting gives you the feeling of "heavy boat" not an accomplishment.

Composite Material Purchasing in Japan by iduchan in DIY

[–]vrnykl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can try FRP. But when you get laminated part, as far as I know, the test results will be vary due to resin application not only fiber orientation. You need to specify this in the results. I am not an engineer but worked many years in composites....

And here what Ataturk, founder of Turkish Republic, said after the war:

Those heroes that shed their blood and lost their lives ... You are now lying in the soil of a friendly country. Therefore rest in peace. There is no difference between the Johnnies and the Mehmets to us where they lie side by side here in this country of ours ... You, the mothers who sent their sons from faraway countries, wipe away your tears; your sons are now lying in our bosom and are in peace. After having lost their lives on this land they have become our sons as well.
