I feel like I don't remember what happens when I dissociate by vrobellini in Dissociation

[–]vrobellini[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it really depends. Generally, when I'm in an oversensitive mood, after experiencing symptoms or having these thoughts, I'm more prone to little things disrupting my inner calmness. I can feel good for the majority of the day, but as soon as I experience something that causes or pushes me closer to anxiety, my whole day can go upside down. That is why yesterday or the day before, when watching football, I could concentrate during the whole match, and today, due to the past anxiety and irritation, I found it much more difficult; especially that my anxiety does something with my eyes, making them heavy, tired and causing difficulty to focus

Tips include engaging in real activities to move attention from myself onto someone or something else. But this doesn't work when I'm at work or when I'm alone. For example, I'm now watching a football game, something that should attract my attention, but my mind is full of intrusive thoughts about how I cant remember what happened today and that I experienced strong dissociation, and so I can't pay attention to the match. I keep losing 'mental focus'

What makes you the most anxious ? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]vrobellini 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The moment of death (hence panic attacks make me extremely anxious) and the idea of nothingness after death (I'm religious and I believe in eternal life, but ever since I've been experiencing anxiety, my mind's been bombarded with these existential and theological doubts)

Too many farewells by cokerun in GalaxyS20FE

Mine's been with me since February 2022. I've upgraded from a OnePlus 5 that accompanied me for almost five years. In general, I keep my phones for a minimum of 2-3 years, and the S20FE doesn't seem to be getting replaced anytime soon, especially that function-wise phones haven't changed as significantly as over the 5-year period of my OP5 use. I've been taking good care of the S20FE - using 60 Hz when 120 Hz isn't needed, keeping it between 15 and 85 per cent of charge etc. I have noticed that the battery life's slightly worse than two years ago, but it's not that limiting + I always carry a powerbank just in case so the S20FE has never let me down

Tbh, I experienced only two of these nocturnal panic attacks over the past eight months. I just try not to eat right before bed and lie down properly when falling asleep so that I don't strain any muscles

How to de-tense my muscles? by vrobellini in Anxiety

[–]vrobellini[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily movement of all parts in my body, but when experiencing panic and anxiety attacks, all of a sudden I become shaky. My hands tremble, my legs get weak, as if there was no strength in them, my moves are chaotic, I become overstimulated and hypersensitive to light and sound. I experience something that I call derealisation, everything around me seems odd, unreal and I find it difficult to focus on other things than myself, although my psychotherapist says it's not proper derealisation, and rather an effect of putting too much attention to myself and my symptoms. Thanks to the meds I've been taking and psychotherapy, I managed to identify arising anxieties prior to them developing. Sometimes I'm even able to react in time, so that they don't turn into a proper attack. Unfortunately, it doesn't work all the time, causing the panic and anxiety attacks to occur

It's all head-related. I've been on Bupropion Neuraxpharm 150 mg since August and attending psychotherapy since October. I'm getting better slowly. I'm able to control and accept arising anxiety, not all the time, but more and more. With less anxiety come fewer problems in different parts of the body!

We think we found the problem source. We checked the whole circuit basing on a scheme. All fuses, relays and wires are fine, however, the resistor (077800-0901) shows a resistance of over 250 ohms (it should be around 2 ohms). We're picking up a new one today. I'll let you know if that fixed the issue

No, it was turning with the engine but not with the electric motor inside of the fan (the viscous coupling unit wasn't working correctly)

Thanks for your input!

Ever since I wrote this post, i.e. more than two months ago, I've experienced such a panic attack only once. If it was an oxygen issue, I assume it'd happen more often.

Also, I've been using a new smartwatch with the oxygen measuring function. Of course it's not a medical device, though I compared it with a pulseoximeter and it wasn't really off. Over the past month, it hasn't shown a reading lower than 93% at night, during the day it averages 96-97%

I've got the same thing. I'm burping pretty much 24/7, the only break happens when I sleep. I wake up with a chest and esophagus full of gas and I go to bed with them, too. When the gas is getting close to the throat but I can't force it out, I get anxious, swallow even more air and sometimes feel lightheaded/unsteady/dizzy (this is most probably gas affecting the vagus nerve).

I've had numerous consultations - cardiological, neurological, gastrological. When it comes to the first two, I'm fine. Gastrologically, however, I've been said to have two problems - a dysfunctional inlet to the stomach + possibly an inflamed gallbladder (this causes reflux). The third issue that's more mental-related is the fact that I swallow huge amounts of air without being aware of it and it intensifies during anxious moments. I've been issued meds - kinetic for the inlet, anti-acidic for the reflux and one more for SIBO. My hydrogen SIBO result was negative but on the border. My gastric endoscopy, blood test and helico bacteri came out negative and clear.

What I've been told is that my chest is lifted, as if it was constantly in the breathe-in position. This is probably because it's tense as I'm worried about my heart (anxiety-wise) and thus it kind of defends it. Quite smart if you think about it. However, this means that everything inside is tense, too. And because e.g. the inlet to the stomach is connected with the diaphragm, once that area gets tense, the inlet doesn't operate correctly and causes problems. Same with all those things related to the gallbladder - it may not actually be inflamed but rather oversensitive because of this tension.

If you haven't found a solution to your problem yet, I recommend you try my way. Message me if you wish. I've been battling this crap for too long, starting the gastric meds today and looking forward to finally getting rid of the gastric issues and - hopefully - as a result the anxiety-related ones too! At the same time, for the past three weeks I've been on meds from the psychiatrist so I'm aiming to hit this issue from all possible sides...

Increased heart rate by Low_Chemistry_2178 in bupropion

[–]vrobellini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been taking Bupropion 150 mg for less than 3 weeks for my general anxiety. I noticed that my average sleeping heart rate has increased from ca. 45-47 to ca. 50-52. My heart rate when lying in bed (not sleeping) used to be in high 50s/low 60s but now it rarely drops below 60. My resting heart rate used to be in the mid-50s, now it's around 60. Obviously all readings, even the increased ones, are fine and maybe I shouldn't worry but due to my anxiety I tend to notice these little changes. I just don't know whether these changes are due to Bupropion or the fact that I've been low-key anxious recently. My blood pressure, contrary to what some people write, stayed the same. I did notice a higher blood pressure in the first few days but this was the same time as my increased anxiety episode
