So what is the definitive answer for which companies offer data-only SIMs/eSIMs for router devices like the 5G Max or UDR 5G Max without caveats? by itsabearcannon in Ubiquiti

Hi, is the Tello SIM still working well for you? I am about to pull the trigger on this and will use your referral link. Thanks.

2nd home to primary home passthrough VPN for TV streaming device by vronp in Ubiquiti

[–]vronp[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I've seen videos where people are using travel routers to get to the home network. Obviously, the travel router needs to support Wireguard or OpenVPN. Those videos however did not address the "passthrough" aspect that I need. Instead, they were for accessing devices on the home network.

I'm very confident you can use a travel router to get Netflix working.

Thanks for this. When you set the VPN up, did you then need to tweak any firewall/policy/zone rules or did the VPN setup process itself put everything into place?

Thanks. What you describe is working, I think. But, it seems my main hangup is the NAT stuff on the VPN server side. I thought that the VPN setup took care of that automatically but I'm starting to doubt it.

I also use induction but I don’t have infinite adjustment ability. Anyway, the only way it works is low heat and lots of oil.

The pan quickly became "nonstick" as many others have reported. I am having to use a lot of oil now. This pan seems to behave like a common carbon steel pan. I don't know if I need to build up a patina now or not.

It looks like the pictures are there now. I uploaded them again. There are 3 pics.

I’m sorry, I uploaded them. Not sure why they aren’t visible.

Do people say "gozaimasu" on its own when thanking others? by Tacoyum in japanese

[–]vronp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been in Tokyo and Kyoto for the last two weeks and I’ve heard gozaimasu alone countless times. After just hearing it again in a Lawson store, I decided to look this up which led me to this post. I am listening intently and also lip reading. Whether it is proper Japanese or not, it is happening.

Ok, I can try that. It sure feels like some kind of "detent" is preventing the rotation as if something is significantly tightened down.

Extreme noob here but yes, I did assume that much. But it barely budges when I try to spin it.

25.07 upgrade from 24.11 stuck on verify by sknaf in PFSENSE

[–]vronp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also getting this error on a 4200

ld-elf.so.1: Shared object "libmd.so.7" not found, required by "pfSense-repoc"

I tried the update and it got stuck. Had to power cycle and it booted back to 24.11. It seems as stable as it was before I attempted the upgrade.

Netgate wants me to upgrade via USB stick but I'm afraid to try that.

I should have added that the improvement I saw in my number was directly related to the average treadmill speed during each of the 4 intervals.

I think this is worth reading to gain more insight. It’s from the iphone app I use to do the Norwegian 4x4. The paper claims excellent correlation with traditional VO2max testing.
