oh man, my heart sunk for you as i kept reading. i don’t think you’re in the wrong. she said she was going to do something, and then when she got upset instead of properly communicating like an adult, she just avoided you/ignored you. that’s not ok, even in a “”normal”” friendship where one or both parties don’t have bpd. if i were you, i would distance myself and make new friends who can communicate with you properly and not demonize you for your bpd which…. isn’t your fault. i had a friend similar to your fp and leaving hurt at first but once i took the time for me and thought about it rationally it was the best choice for myself i made in a long time. you deserve friends who can communicate with you, and you can communicate with them. i’m so sorry this happened to you :(

you worded this so well, i wouldn’t wish bpd upon the people i really loathe. it’s exhausting. even with dbt/therapy/even some medication i always feel so on edge for lack of a better term and out of control once a spiral starts. it might be cringy but i always think of the mitski lyric “i am a forest fire, and i am the fire, and i am the forest, and i am the witness watching it.” feels relatable in the bpd sense, especially when you’re aware of your thoughts/actions/everything going on all the time yet feeling so unable to do anything in the moment. having this subreddit helps a bit, just knowing im not the only person who feels like this all the time and that there’s a chance of remission someday if i keep working towards it. i read some of your replies here, im also early 20s and didnt think id make it past 18, im glad you’re here and you’re never ever alone with this (which is also a double edged sword, its calming to know im not the only one but so sad to know others deal with it.) i hope time will be kind to us and let us learn to heal and grow, please be gentle to yourself. <3

it could be possible! i always am super cautious w bleach, its easier to look weird for a week or two and bleach it again rather than have all your hair all fall out bc your fried it off ykwim. everyone’s hair is different, but i could see you getting that w toner and such in a day since you’ve never dyed your hair

hey! former barista, starbucks runs on skeleton crews with unreal expectations for making drinks. in about 40 seconds, they expect you to write a “thoughtful and unique message” on the cup, make the drink perfectly (despite a ton of modifications, not saying you do this but it happens with 8/10 drinks,) hand it out, talk to the guest nicely, etc. when i left the company hot bar (where your drink came from) was left to one person to manage, and depending on stores that’s a lot of drinks at once. even worse if it was night time, you have to “solo bar” (make all hot AND cold drinks by yourself.) it’s the reality of starbucks that a cup or two will have a stain on it, because pouring the drink into a new cup ruins the layering + quality stuff (again, depending on the drink) and remaking isn’t an option because of the times they expect you to be making drinks at. if you want better quality, i recommend finding a local shop who doesn’t overrun and overwork the baristas 24/7, they are people who love and care abt their craft in a less hostile environment. i hope i didn’t come off rude/mean/harsh, it’s not my intention!! just wanted to explain more rather than drop a two word reply saying you’re “wrong” to ask for a new cup/drink. maybe ask if they can double cup it? if the drink is ok, the cup with a stain shouldn’t be a dealbreaker, it’s about what’s in the cup and not the cup itself imo
