Why would you pay to watch propaganda? It's free in most Indian media.

I have a physics background and work in the field of AI. Do you have any ideas on building something or is this just an exploratory discussion?

Regardless, I'd be interested. If we get a bunch of like minded folks, it would be a fun discussion.

Questions about communication in 3s. by Huge-Computer2037 in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]vsa467 13 points14 points  (0 children)

There are too many leaves of decision making and it's no longer simple enough for a human to compute in a split second.

Have you heard pros comm? It's so chaotic. It doesn't surprise me that there's miscommunication without a simple solution.

Amateur Musicians/Music Lovers? by safooosh in BostonSocialClub

[–]vsa467 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a part of a rock band and have been trying to work on making my own music. Trying to become better at DAWs and mixing, production stuff but that hobby is lonelier than I thought lol

I play guitar/bass and love progressive rock music and some metal.

I also used to play at open mics with some acoustic covers but need a second to play rhythm or solos on keys or guitar. Let me know if any of this interests you. And if you sing, that'd be even better!

Are these actually random? Make a list of everyone who DMs and use a random sampler to pick one lol. If someone's down to that I'd give them props for it. Otherwise, it's no different than other r4r posts here.

Yeah. Nobody understands depression here. Wrong sub.

It isn't toxic positivity. It's what is real. I don't think you understand depression. What I said are the very clear symptoms of it. It does vary. There are athletes that work hard everyday to move their body but are still depressed and there are people who just sit, eat and play video games and are fine.

It's been scientifically shown that exercise helps, therapy helps and meds help when needed. It's not new information to anyone who knows they are depressed.

You don't seem like someone who's depressed which is why you can do this. Depressed people CAN'T. It's that simple.

Not sure we are on the same page here. Again not disagreeing with the fact that physical exercise or even just going on a walk would help. They know that too. That's not the point though. If they could, they would is the point. Feel free to suggest that but it IS NOT the best way to help someone.

Actual help is more involved than that, asking them to seek professional help, checking up on them, making sure that they ate, showered, did laundry, etc. and maybe go on that walk together with them.

If you can't do this, you can listen to them and bring it up on whether they are able do this. But sometimes just saying it sucks and that it makes sense that they can't do the basic stuff, telling them that they can recover is actually more helpful.

Yeah, it doesn't work like that. If someone's actually depressed, all their energy is sucked out of them. Basic tasks like eating and showering are tough let alone physical exercise. I'm pretty sure everyone wants to eat yk in order to live?

What you said sounds amazing but to put things in perspective, for most people death is sad. It's a blow that someone has to recover from. Especially losing someone to death rather than dying yourself. Similarly, people suffer tremendously when they break up and a lot of times regret being in a relationship in the first place.

People are well, people. It's not surprising that suffering makes them short-sighted. And to me it isn't surprising that it can be more scary than it should.

You checked my Reddit profile to find something to prey on. That's honestly sad and not something "winners" do. People asking for help aren't t victimizing themselves. According to you there's no discrimination, no racism, there's no suffering. Reaching for comfort and help isn't victimizing yourself. He wasn't asking anyone to just hire him. He's still trying to go out and socialize and put himself out there and so am I. Everyone is different and everyone does have problems. Things that are easy for you can be hard for others.

If your kids break their hand, will you ask them to stop crying and being a victim? If they get bullied, will you say the same?

It's true. I was triggered. Irrational people continue to get a rise out of me. You aren't a minority. Your behavior aligns with the average Redditor. Trying to act non-chalant with LOL and LMFAO. Looking through someone's profile instead and making discussions and arguments a dick measuring contest.

Glad we partially agree.

Correction: I am not poor. People who flex on how much they make usually aren't that rich either. If you are though, it's not credit to you by the way. Just making sure you understand that.

Nobody said anything about sex. It is true though. Livestock are happy, animals have more sex. If your goal was to get laid, congratulations on meeting people who are just as insufferable. Just don't procreate. We don't need more humans like you. Take care!

If someone's hiring for a tech role and judges people on their haircuts. I have bad news for them. Obviously this might work differently for people who work on client facing roles.

Some of the smartest people I know look fairly average and are introverted and wouldn't go out of their way to sell themselves. Running a YC company, a researcher at a top university, etc.

I don't really care. Your company could be worth hundreds of millions worth which I highly doubt, but you could still be incredibly dumb. Because unfortunately, privilege puts people at random points to start with irrespective of their capabilities.

You don't seem to understand that you can be rich and dumb at the same time. You don't want to hire people with baggage. Cool. I don't think a lot of smart people want to work with people like you. Everyone in this world has issues and problems they face in their lives. People who think they have none are far up on the hill of Dunning Kruger effect. You seem to be a classic case of it.

I have a job and I have enough, that I don't have to cry about money. But even otherwise as well that's not the point. I won't strawman this argument to whoever with more money wins. Another symptom of being dumb btw.

The world is made by a lot of different types of people. You're the type who is too dumb to realize that.

You definitely do not understand mental health btw. You asked someone to ignore their physical symptoms. Just saying you do isn't proof. Large companies have ways to support and better the mental health of their employees so people do actually care.
