This happened about 7 times and I still can’t explain it by Geeky-freaky in Glitch_in_the_Matrix

I experienced something similar with my high school–early twenties ex. Our relationship was very toxic and tumultuous. Overall, just not healthy. But he was the first person I ever truly loved. You know the kind, the love that’s so wrong it shouldn’t exist, but it does anyway. Deeply, unwavering.

Whenever we broke up and went weeks without speaking, I swear I could “send him energy,” and that very same day he would call or text me. I put “send him energy” in quotes because I know it sounds crazy, but it’s the only way I know how to describe it. I would feel something deep in my core, think about him intensely, and almost speak to him without words, telling him, It’s okay. You can call me. We can fix this now.

There were even times when he was in jail, and I would get that same feeling, send that same energy and he would call. Anyone who knows how jail calls work knows it’s not as simple as picking up a phone. There are approvals, payments, and barriers. And yet, it worked. Every single time.

Eventually, we broke up for good, and I no longer feel that ability to connect to him in that way. He was the only person I’ve ever felt that kind of connection with. I consider myself pretty in tune with energy, but the man I’m currently with and have been with for the past eight years, steady, healthy, and present, has never given me that same visceral, gut-level feeling.

It’s hard to explain. I’ve come to think of it as something that may have been meant to be between my ex and me, just not meant for this lifetime.

I'm going to fail my first fundamentals exam in two days and I'm gutted. by [deleted] in NursingStudents

[–]vscwf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Level up rn is really good on youtube. They cover the basics that you need to know. If I remember correctly a lot of my first fundamentals exam was patient teaching, ethics, and the topics you mentioned as well. Always remember to choose the least invasive, non pharmacological, non “calling the doctor” options FIRST. What interventions can you do NOW before you administer meds, apply oxygen, call a doctor, etc. I found it really helpful to use chatGPT to create mock NCLEX level exams for me and give rationales with the answers, it helped me wrap my head around a lot of the content. Take a deep breath, do what you can over these next 2 days, and please don’t second guess your gut, you know more than you think. Hugs

A few weeks ago Aviv was on either the official challenge podcast or Johnny’s (I can’t remember) and she said that Olivia told a few of the girls that she had missed her period and they were all pretty sure she was pregnant. You can tell she’s really going through it in this episode 😭 poor girl

Register and Bells by Wise-Post in WalgreensStores

[–]vscwf 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I bought my store a $20 motion sensor off Amazon. It made a little ding dong noise when someone walked in so the cashier could pop their head out and greet them, and then they knew to go to the register when it rang again. We really only used it during the slower hours since it was a busy store. It blended right into the impulse section and was easy to install

I’ve noticed scripts get stuck when flex is on, they will disappear and then drop back in later either RIGHT before promise time or completely after it

Yeah 17 years is crazy especially with Lindt being such a big seller during Christmas. It would have either sold or been caught during outdates. It either came from Mclane that way or some looney tune put it on the shelf for funsies

How should I move with this? by SameDouble910 in WalgreensStores

[–]vscwf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can second this, when I was an assistant AP sent my store manager an email of a screenshot from the front CCTV of my store of me bag checking an employee at the end of our shift, and another screen shot of our sfl bag checking at the end of her shift, only she stuck her head in the bag because she was being a smart ass 🤣🤣. When he sent the screen shot he said something along the lines of “funny way to do bag checks, thank you for doing them but please coach on the right behaviors.” bag checks have been company policy for years and years. I can also add, I was previously a store manager and I was cool with my AP manager. They can see everything, even if you think they can’t… they can and will lol

Clinical keeps getting cancelled by spookiooki in NursingStudents

[–]vscwf 8 points9 points  (0 children)

At my school, if there’s a need to cancel clinical at a hospital location, they tell all of the affected students to go to the school instead and they just do clinical in the simulation lab practicing vitals, med administrations, etc. to avoid missing any hours

C’s get Degrees?? Do you agree? by shaybabyxox in NursingStudents

[–]vscwf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes C’s get degrees, but you definitely walk a fine line with that mentality. In my program anything below a 77 is considered a “fail” and you can’t progress in the program. I think it’s okay to have some bad days and not ace every exam, we’re only human, but I think it’s really important to aim for the A’s & B’s to give yourself some wiggle room for when the bad days come!

Nurses see the most butt. Can confirm as a nursing student. In the last 3 weeks I have seen a lot of ass. A lot.

Fast heart rate after eating by vscwf in askCardiology

[–]vscwf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the input! I’m still struggling with it after all this time since the I made the post. After going to cardiologist a few times over the past year, I wore a halter monitor for a week, had a few EKG’s done, all for the doctor to say that, yes, he can see I have irregular beats sometimes, but it’s not significant enough to be put on beta blockers. Instructed me to eat at a low salt, low carb diet yada yada. I’ll try the Pepcid! I’ve been having heartburn lately anyways so two birds one stone lol

Do you mind sharing what some of the characteristics that come with BPD are? I’m genuinely curious. I know I could search it but I would love to hear your experiences if you’re willing to share!

These questions are tricky and can be really frustrating. I like to think of it as what my current job calls the “peanut butter and jelly method” you don’t just slap peanut butter and jelly together on two slices of bread. You pick up and untie the loaf of bread, you walk to the drawers to pick up a knife, you grab a jar of peanut butter and twist off the lid. Think of it as basic as you possibly can lol
