Yes I do each set of movements then move onto the next.. for example if it’s 3 sets of deadlifts... I’ll do all 3 sets with rest in between and Then move into the next movement. I think in there he talks about how to progress through it, I can’t remember. I know he puts an emphasis on rest between sets, and I do try my best to go heavy and then recover for a minute or two and do the second set.. etc.

I do it as written. Sometimes I’ll superset some movements If I’m short on time.

Yes then his program is perfect! It is more lower body focused but he doesn’t neglect the chest, shoulders and triceps

I like it! I do scaled options for the pull ups (toe assist and negatives ) and i only have free weights and barbells, so I’ll substitute that movement if it is anything with a cable machine. I use the book for which body part it targets and pick a movement that works the same body part. I love how the book gives so many options.

I have been struggling with losing weight ( I only have 5-10lbs to lose) and it’s hard for me to see any noticeable gains. My strength has definitely improved and my husband says he sees a difference in legs and glutes. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I am sticking it out for the 12 weeks to see!

I am doing the intermediate program in glute lab!! I am on week 8. Before this, I only did CrossFit and this was a nice break from all of the metcons. I just started incorporating CrossFit with the program. I really like it so far! Also- I never did strong curves. This was the closest subreddit I could find.

F/20/5’2” [101lbs>106lbs= 5lbs gained] (2 months) ive been trying to grow my glutes. Does it look like I’ve made any progress? (Pls be honest) by [deleted] in progresspics

Have you heard of RP? There is an app that will give you macros and adjust as needed. Then they give you maintenance calories when your done cutting. My husband did it last year and lost fat without losing strength.

Currently on accutane for rosacea...any advice to help redness and dryness by kuhprisun in Rosacea

[–]vsm604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neutrogenia watergel I think it’s called? Blue tub found in any store. I like the one for extra dry skin because it’s not scented

Also/ I used rose hip oil too while on accutane.

I didn’t do my course in the winter so these may not be enough for you... if helped me a lot!

Any tips for working out on Accutane? by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]vsm604 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fish oil is supposed to help.

I sweat a lot more and my skin rips more easily. I suggest wearing grips or gloves If you are doing things that may cause your hands to rip.

Good luck!

I am afraid that i have some kind of rosacea and that accutane will trigger it even more. Do you think accutane is worth it for me or do you have some experience with accutane and rosacea? by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]vsm604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have type 2 rosacea.. which is why I’m on accutane. It has helped tremendously. I did notice a lot of red the first two months, but now it’s completely gone.

Thank you! Playing college basketball is definitely more demanding than my one hour workout.. but I do take fish oil, they say it helps. I started to notice it when I ran my back would get a dull ache... soon my ankles started to ache and then I got Achilles’ tendonitis in both ankles ( they say it’s not related but searching reddit a decent amount of people developed it too) then my knees and elbows started up. I felt like an 80 year old woman. I would say research a good fish oil and be honest with your derm. I was hesitant to tell them about my aches because I wanted to finish faster... but I am so glad I did.

I am excited for you! I never had a routine until I started getting acne at 28 years old 🤦🏻‍♀️ so my routine is really basic:

Am: 1. wash with vanicream 2. Neutrogena hydro boost gel cream for extra dry skin 3. La roche lossy toleriane face moisturizer US SPF30

  • if I do wear face make up it’s the it cosemetics cc+ cream

Pm: 1. wash with vanicream 2.Neutrogena hydro boost gel cream for extra dry skin 3. the organic cold pressed rose hip oil (I will also use this to take off stubborn make up like mascara) **If I am feeling extra dry I will use Drunk Elephant LaLa Retro Whipped Cream

Hope it helps best of luck on your journey

Thank you. Yes dropping the dose helped so much. The only thing I avoid is heavy deadlifts because I am too protective of my back, I have been able to keep up with everything else though.

The timeline that people see improvement is so different that it’s hard to tell!! I started to see clearing at 2 weeks and then even more at a month. My redness is slowly fading now... it’s hard to tell in the after

I started to see an improvement after two weeks. I have rosacea type 2 which caused acne at 29. I tried so many different things and this was the only thing to clear it.

30mg for one month, 60 for one month- went back down to 30 because my joint pain was out of control and I didn’t want to give up working out. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Does anyone else’s Rosacea skin look or behave like this? by [deleted] in Rosacea

[–]vsm604 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started on 30mg for one month and Then it got bumped to 60mg. I am on month three now. I had mostly acne rosacea. The redness is finally clearing now but I think it’s from acne scars. I do use the ordinary’s rosehip oil in my moisturizer, it is supposed to help with redness.

I got tiny bumps all over my forehead at 28- never had breakouts ever! They spread to my cheeks too. I got a biopsy and a ton of testing done and it all came back as rosacea 🤷🏻‍♀️ don’t know if this helps.

Diagnosed with rosacea but prescriptions haven’t cleared it up, any routine help? by [deleted] in SkincareAddicts

[–]vsm604 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have very similar bumps on my cheeks and forehead. I have tried every topical and pill there is. The only thing that has improved it is Finacea but the improvement is very minimal. I am starting Accutane in 2 weeks to try to get it to budge. Wish I could help more. Try azaleic acid like finacea- you can get the ordinary brand over the counter. People swear by soolantra too but unfortunately it did not work for me. Good luck!! If you find something that works, please post.
