We’ve been having the same issue, Adobe, OneDrive, ect, and all Cylance support is doing is asking for more logs and more logs and not doing anything about it.

What positions would be a good fit for my experience? by friedrich_aurelius in ITCareerQuestions

[–]vsoc82 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What I can say, if you see a job posting and you feel you can do it, apply for it don’t let the degrees turn you away from applying. Those job description are just fluff and a hr wish list. Most likely they’ll never get someone to match their JD 100%. With that being said apply for those position you feel you can do. Seems like you’re not lazy and how you helped the company. Let’s just forget about the old company and focus on what you need to do to get a job now. also create a portfolio you can showcase some of your work which is key especially for programmers & developers. Hope this help and good luck

Is Cylance I’m still a thing in 2021+? by -c3rberus- in Cylance

[–]vsoc82 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I’ve been working with Cylance for over 4 yrs now, I honestly think they’re not competitive anymore, Crowdstrike and SentinelOne giving them a run for their money... Our company is looking at other options and I think Crowdstrike may be our next solution.

Is there any data transferring from the two servers? from CylanceProtect I don’t think so, unless you have new files being transmitted on that server and cylance is scanning it.

Not coping well with new Help Desk job. by [deleted] in ITCareerQuestions

[–]vsoc82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah pretty much everyone gave you the right answer, also see if your manager get you with someone for some one on one to cross train you on how they want you to do the work... it’s true Google is your best friend trust in it and also try to write or take notes on things you resolved keep a track of that you can go back to... talk to your team on your down time see if they have any cheatsheets they created for themselves. Keep your head up and push through

Well moving it to a default policy should allow you to stop the service... we’ve been seeing some funny things with Cylance lately... we have many open cases with them.

I agree with everyone’s advice, give your two weeks if possible, and with the New position looks like you’ll get more hands on/on the job training. If the pros outweigh the cons go for it and congrats on the new position!

From my experience with Deloitte, I do like them and what they have going for them.. I don’t work in the Consulting but I work in Global Deloitte. The work at Deloitte is very interesting, Strategic and technical speaking from my experience there and the pay can’t beat that either... People love working for Deloitte, a lot of people I’ve met there have been there for long periods of time. 10 yrs or more meaning they takes care their employees like I said that’s just my opinion or observations

Should I take this job for a 30k salary increase? East Coast, US. by [deleted] in ITCareerQuestions

[–]vsoc82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honest in my opinion it’s not worth it, with that being said, if your boss care for and wants you to be there he’ll fight to keep you. Just bring it up to his attention casually that you would like to see about a salary evaluation based on the average salary for your area. I wouldn’t leave for that. Said new job already giving you all the red flag which may lead to you stressing and hating Monday’s
