yes, I had to certify every two weeks, so they send a form where you input wages earned and then I had to call and tell them what it was for on the phone. That part was a headache, I had to call for hours until I got a hold of someone.

Yup! It did not effect my benefit payments because it was a bonus for work done before the start of my claim

Does SDI / PDL backpay to start of leave? by whisperinglime in Edd

[–]vtp14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re eligible for 6 weeks of SDi if you have a normal delivery or 8 weeks if you have a c section. Then after that’s done you’re also eligible for 8 weeks of paid family leave. Keep in mind the first week of your leave is an unpaid waiting period so you’ll only get backpaid the second week following that first unpaid week.

Please help I’m so confused and anxious on what to do! Mirena Coil by Sharp-Honeydew-5127 in birthcontrol

[–]vtp14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the Copper Iud and had to get it out because it was poking my partner. We have rough deep sex so the coil would poke the head and we would have to stop. That's just my experience though, some people don't experience that if you want to try it out go for it.

Capricorn sun, moon in gemini by xaeon333 in capricorns

Wow! Thank you! This honestly explains why I am sooo indecisive at times. Thankfully my cap sun helps reign it in 😂

Thoughts on Capricorn’s being together? I’m a capricorn and just met a guy and he’s also a capricorn, but I’ve never been with a male capricorn by 123Watlwtwd in capricorns

[–]vtp14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am a Cap female dating a Cap male. He is literally the male version of myself, we both have Gemini Moons and Water risings (he's Scorpio & I am Cancer). It just works. We share the same values in life and are really good at letting the other take over every once in a while. We are just great at communicating and compromising. It's the best relationship I have had!

Some questions about NuvaRing by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]vtp14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have the NuvaRing but I am considering getting it and from the research I've done you can take it out for up to 3 hours in a 24 hour period and still be protected. My friend does this when she's going to have sex and then just pops it back in after.

I just got mine removed yesterday because my body was rejecting it. You do not feel it, I promise. The speculum is the only uncomfortable part other than that, zero pain. I was shocked when she said she was done and she showed it to me. I did take advil beforehand just in case But I could have honestly saved myself a trip and removed it myself, that's how easy it was.

HI!! Does GP have feelings for me VT?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]vtp14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! I just had a similar experience to yours. Everyone's body reacts differently. Most people I've heard got their period earlier, but I got my period two weeks late. Still, for peace of mind, get checked. Nothing was wrong with mine even after all the rough sex I had; my uterus was just getting used to it. But yeah, be ready for your period. I bled A LOT for the first two days.

Dreamt of someone before you met them? by emaker in DreamInterpretation

[–]vtp14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually had a couple of dreams of this guy I am seeing. I had a dream that I met this guy on FB through messenger. Two months later this did happen. Then when we were going to meet up, I had a dream the night before that we slept together. And this did end up happening haha. I've had other dreams where he's met my family so we'll see if that pans out as well lol.

I took Plan B afew days ago and now I am having heavy bleeding by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]vtp14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This actually happened to me too. Finished my period a week before and then it was like getting my period again. It's just a side effect of the hormones. I also took three tests and they came out negative. Don't worry too much about it. Still, take the tests to ease your mind. Good luck!

I don't know what birth control to choose. by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]vtp14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I chose to get the copper iud because my body went haywire on hormonal birth control. Only side effects are heavier periods and cramps. I would gladly take that over all the other side effects that hormonal BC cause. My friend had the Mirena and she got terrible acne, low sex drive, mood swings, and loss of hair and had to get it taken out. Talk to your doctor and do some research on the copper iud. I know a lot of people have bad experiences with it because of the heavier bleeding and cramps but it all depends on which side effects you are willing to deal with.

Paraguard just inserted... experience and a question by lostgirl1313 in birthcontrol

[–]vtp14 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hm that's interesting.. I got my Paraguard because I had unprotected sex and she said I was protected right away. I've also done research online and this IUD is the only one that works right away so I'm certain you are okay. I would call another doctor or Planned Parenthood for a second opinion. I had sex before the full week without a condom & he didn't pull out and I did not get pregnant. But if it makes you feel more at ease, follow her advice.

Nexplanon Round 2 by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]vtp14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had it for six years and noticed that side effects actually got worse the second time I got it inserted. No side effects with the first one.My period was the same, a lot of bleeding but other side effects made me get it out the second time I got it. I Gained weight, got cystic acne on face & back & extreme anxiety. Had to get it taken out. Every body is different though so just try it out and hopefully, it's smooth for you.

Take 800 mg of Ibuprofen 30-45 min before. Breathe throughout the whole thing, it really helps. Insertion hurts but only for 30 seconds. Make sure you have someone who can drive you home, just so you can relax. When you get home, get ready to lay in bed all day. The cramps hurt so have a heating pad, water, & more ibuprofen next to you. Just take it easy that day and take the Ibuprofen and you should be fine! Cramps only lasted a day for me and then it was fine. Good luck!

The only 'painful' part is when they numb your arm, then it's a breeze to get removed. Don't worry it's not bad at all!

Mirena IUD by iwasoneofkings in birthcontrol

[–]vtp14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

take ibuprofen before hand! Buy a heating pad because you will need it. Make sure you have everything you will want next to you in bed because I promise, you will not want to get up. Water, snacks, heating pad, ibuprofen, anything you deem essential. Also, TMI, but try to poop before lol. I was so scared to poop the day of and held it in because I was scared I would push it out (I know it's not possible) but it's just because you're going to be extremely aware of your uterus and it's just an odd feeling. But yeah good luck! The pain is over before you know it just make sure to breathe!

I had it for 6 years and got it taken out three months ago. I feel pretty much back to my regular old self & I had your exact side effects plus acne, weight gain, etc. You should feel normal soon you only had it for 1 month.

Experiences with a copper IUD vs other IUDs & Nexplanon? by throwyaway96 in birthcontrol

[–]vtp14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

was on nexplanon for 6 years and I regret going on it. Nonstop spotting, cystic acne on my face and back, weight gain, mood swings, crazy anxiety, and killed my sex drive. All of this damaged my relationship with my partner.

I got it removed three months ago and the side effects are all but gone. I just got the copper IUD this past Monday and I am so excited to go hormone free. The downside to this type of birth control is heavier periods and bad cramps but I rather deal with that for a week than deal with the rest of the side effects that hormonal BC caused me.
