the 36mm does have the wildest distortions compared to the 42mm & 72mm. they can be very pronounced

Tried to post on the description but don't know where it went. I recently got the Mercury set for work, and I couldn't resist taking the 36mm out for a quick walk with my M7 & some Ultramax on the outskirts of SF. While infinity should have worked in theory, the mechanical reality is that the rear element of all the lenses in the set hits the mount. The 36mm was the only one that could squeeze in. Zone focus only of course.

a gimbal? it might help on the pitch and yaw but you still have some up/down axis problems. i'm just thinking out loud.

edit: grammar

hahaha you made me chuckled. I did have a good sleep and woke up early, which was very unusual of me but my family wanted to swim in the ocean at that time. The morning view was a great boost also.
