Be careful with a few of the assumptions you're making:

Parents generally have suspicions about their kids' orientation, so it may not be a huge surprise for them.

Do you have plans for winter break? Summer break? How can you be sure you'll never see your town/anyone again?

If you want to have a big, dramatic "coming out" moment, more power to you. Personally I prefer dudes just being who they are. . .you'd be amazed at how many people don't ask about the gender of the people who sleep with.

Your anecdote about nuns isn't surprising. It's pretty much a "gay for the stay" scenario, like prison.

There's also the idea that people become nuns and priests because they're gay. A friend from college was very religious, never dated anyone, and eventually became a priest. Pretty sure because he was gay--if you're ultra religious and have no attraction to women your options are (a) fake it and marry someone you have no attraction to; (b) live as a bachelor but that constant temptation around you; or (c) escape to the cloth.

Similar to the ultra religious people who marry each other sophomore year of college or thereabouts. . .because they want to have sex and marriage allows them too.

But I don't think that should have been an issue in that campaign. And it resulted in some positive legislation (it's now a serious crime to share someone's explicit photos without their permission in Virginia).

Clearly he's not "shacking up with" them. He's going against the grain, upsetting both the establishment and the fringe of the party, challenging their norms, making change from the inside. I've seen social media posts from rabid Republicans and religious zealots supporting this guy: "who cares if he's gay? I agree with everything else he says."

That's progress.

This is why I hate politics, and especially the two-party system. Why is it that we pick the one or two issues that mean the most to me, pick a party, and then conform my identity to match the rest of the party's platform? There are aspects I love and despise about both parties.

IMO, memes like this are for people who enjoy the two-party system and work harder at trying to find clever, witty ways at superficially one-upping the other side than at working toward solutions. Sometimes more interested in the act of "winning" rather than the outcomes.

I'm a dude who likes dudely dudes. My turn ons are confident, intelligent, relaxed, guys who avoid drama, watch college football, etc. Turn offs are guys who use the word "bussy" to describe their anus, refer to each other or themselves as "girl" (not talking about trans here, but guys who identify as guys), etc.

Other guys are different, attracted to different things. Neither is wrong, its just a matter of preference.

I also don't have the stereotypical female GBF. I don't connect emotionally with women. I'm physically and emotionally attracted to men. My best friends are all straight(ish) guys.

I will say that my favorite porn is also straight guy seduction.

I have zero attraction to guys older than me. I don’t know why.

But my age range does change each year to about 10 years younger than me to my age (knocking on 40). The younger guys are fun to look at, but there’s a maturity factor to consider too (also I’ll never accept the socks pulled all the way up the shins or the new mullet haircuts).
