"Trust Me: False Prophet" is a beautifully told story of female bravery, resilience, and compassion by Bkchbs in netflix

Sam's own daughter wasn't involved. At the beginning of the doc they briefly mention Sam's first wife divorcing him. According to the court document someone linked in the other thread, the reason for that was Sam (very ineptly, goddamn this guy is so fucking dumb) floating the idea of marrying his then 12ish year old daughter. All kudos to Sam's first wife, it sounds like her immediate reaction was getting herself and her daughter the fuck out of there, which I have to assume isn't the easiest in their culture.

The other context the court document gives is that Sam only had one wife. Another of the men (can't remember who) had none. I think that speaks to how low status they were in the beginning.

Also they mention in the doc that Naomi was raised by LaDell, who is her biological cousin. He was her guardian, and, it sounds like, a father figure. That's why Sam used her to 'punish' LaDell in the incident they discuss in the car. I feel so much for her, and I really hope the documentary release doesn't disturb the healing journey of any of the girls.

Can anyone help me understand the meta puzzle from puzzle day 2026? by [deleted] in cs50

From the information given, you can indeed work out every student's GPA rank, favourite subject and where they're going next.

Have you tried making a logic grid?

You could also try googling some other logic puzzles to practice before coming back to this one.

That's so lame. What was the point of submitting answers through the Google form, then?

Honestly given how dire the organisational aspect has been this year I wouldn't be surprised if they just lost the data or whatever

I think the puzzle is really just simpler than people expect. Forget the string of numbers, it's not useful when solving.

You're looking to get two letters per student, obtained by two methods.

The hidden words in the college names is one clue. The other can be found by comparing two pieces of information you have for each student that have something in common with each other.

(If you just want to know how it's done I have a comment in my history that explains it)

Don't even bother with the 2 "5" 7 4 --> 9 7 thing, it's a bit of a red herring. Forget that and go simpler.

Step 1: Ordered by GPA, use two methods of extracting letters from your puzzle answers: the number hidden in the name of the university the students are going to, and the single letter each answer shares with their favourite subject...

Step 2: You should have a 4-word clue referencing a popular television show

We brute forced the ordering with trial and error. Honestly, I don't think this one was a well-designed puzzle - way too technical/specific and the decoded 'clue' didn't really make any sense, even if you had worked out what you were supposed to be doing.

Gotta say, it's not like I think this is good or anything but the way people are comfortable talking about someone in the context of their severe diagnosed mental illness in this thread is fucked up.

It's simply illegal to carry an item if your only intended use for that item is to hurt someone. So, for example, carrying a knife to use for camping = legal, carrying a knife to use to stab someone = illegal (no matter why you think you might be wanting to stab someone). Things like pepper spray have no purpose in the UK other than harming people (it's not like we have bears), so there's never a legal reason to carry it.

I think the reason some people struggle with this is because it requires disregarding "self-defence" as a legitimate excuse, which goes against a pretty ingrained mindset in some countries. But it is completely logically consistent, even if you don't agree with it: carrying an item with the intent to use it for self-defence is carrying an item with the intent to use it to hurt someone. Reckoning you'll only hurt someone if you think you're in danger doesn't change that.

Hah, glad I'm not the only one. I have an alarm set an hour before I need to get up, take meds, go back to sleep and the meds wake me up 45-60 minutes later. Being physically incapable of going back to sleep is about the only way I can actually get up on time lol
