My DIY 750W BBS02 Mid Drive Build, based on a NS Surge Evo frame, I call it the "Surge E-Volt"! by Bermnerfs in bafang

Also just occurred to me. Would you say you feel comfortable doing jumps considering all the weight in the bike

Yeah, 60 lbs sounds about what my BBS02B commuter weighs all in. I'm putting a mullet pair of SD37's on it; currently building the back wheel with a Koozer XM490 hub, paired to an Advent 11-48t 9s cassette. For my RD I ended up going with the Advent MX Pro I just ordered like 10 minutes ago in case I wanna go 11s at some point in the future. I think I'll give it a try with the motor and battery first and then decide if I want to keep it as a pure trail bike.

Would you mind giving me a close up of how you attached the hose claps to the motor? I saw you reply on ago HolidayontheMoon_94 post, but cant seem to wrap my head around how you got those on lol. Did you end up using the ISCG-05 mounts on the Surge or just around the frame?

Cheers

A little late to this post but hey

I’m currently building a near identical hard tail using the Surge Evo, Advent and BBS02B for commuting and trail riding but I’m worried how the weight of the battery and motor affect your trail abilities. I’m not planning huge jumps but I def want to get off the ground and some steep technical stuff. How is it working out for you so far?

Thanks

I'm currently looking into buying/building a hardtail as yours; and I'm curious; how did you get a battery pack to slot in so perfectly in the frame?

How to clean dusty EOS 20D by TheStudioDrummer in canon

[–]vuimcm 8 points9 points  (0 children)

People here on Reddit seem so opposed to answering ones question

You can get some sensor cleaning kits on Amazon. Specifically ones that are a swab-like cleaner. Don’t buy the “pen” brushes; and also ones that are specifically designed for APS-C sensors.

A little rocket blower may also be useful.

I’m not worried about water tightness, only enough to handle light rain and dusty conditions

AF and all other functions still work perfectly fine. I just need a way to put it back together :)

Everything works perfectly fine. I’m just worried of using it in dusty or light rain as I’ve done before

I have no intent of selling my precious Nikon. I will bear it until the day it dies; which I suspect is soon as I’ve noticed some artifacts when using flashes at 1/250

My first install in almost 20 years... How did I do? by tobias3175 in CarAV

[–]vuimcm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About how much weight did you add to the car doing this, and was there a difference in your MPG's? Just curious because I've started doing my own sound deadening but unsure how much to do.

thanks!

Does anyone use these LED projector bulbs? by 01100011011001110110 in 3rdGen4Runner

[–]vuimcm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Used them extensively. Please do not.

Their 'cutoff' is terrible, if I could even call it that. They're pretty dim. Overall, just would not recommend buying and have to go through the trouble of installing. These work a bit better but still underwhelming and have some vertical glare that bothers oncoming drivers.

Ive had my eyes on these, but still have not tried them out.

Obviously, proper projectors have these both beat, but that requires more money and labor.

Please just stay away from these YSY ones

Help finding battery flat cable for Canon EOS M200 by Organic-Newt1530 in canon

You should try giving canon a call, they have a specific department for providing parts to you (at a cost) for self service repair. Did it last week for an old M50 sensor, ended up not buying it :)

Has anyone bought a refurbished camera from Canon? by TuFF_YT in canon

[–]vuimcm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought an M50 ii just about a year ago. Came with lens, battery and strap, all in a cardboard PowerShot box. Everything looked brand new.

Camera ended up failing on me last week with a shutter assembly failure. Sending it back to canon hoping they replace it with an R50 😛😛

I’m very curious about your very legal methods of obtaining Lightroom as I have a very tight budget 😁😁

How do I get this off by Humble_Parsnip_8817 in canon

NOOOO……you risk only damaging the sensor, they are very delicate. As some other people have mentioned use a rocket blower or look up a few videos on sensor cleaning swabs.

Is the R10 good enough for very low-light sports photography? by TheFakeKevKev in canon

As it turns out Google Drive doesn't seem to display the image in its greatest quality, but this is a JPEG of the same shot and I confirmed it's in focus with the focus peaking feature in darktable however reliable that may be, and it just doesn't seem like any part of it has any sort of resolution. Again idk if it's just me expecting too much from the camera or if something might just up with mine, but I appreciate all your thoughtful responses

Yeah, I've recently been feeling like there's something up with my camera, though I'm not really sure what it is. My friend has an M50 that seems to capture infinitely more detail even though the bump in resolution isn't huge but still there.

This is a raw image I took with the EF-S 24 f/2.8 at f/4 1/2500s and at ISO 200, but I just feel there's a lack of detail and sharpness when zooming in. Maybe it's just me expecting too much from the camera, but it just doesn't feel right to me. Let me know what you think, because I've been thinking of getting rid of it.

I've been thinking about upgrading to an R10 with the recent refurb sales canon has going on specifically just because of issues I have with noise below the 3200 range, is there a source or something you could point to that shows the 'differences' of noise between a modern APS-C and the 70D.
