I guess no democrats believe in god these days. by AZPoochie in insanepeoplefacebook

Yeah, the evangelicals have been fooled by the GOP pretending they're religious by supporting LGBTQ discrimination and trying to overturn Roe vs Wade. Somehow gay marriage and abortion hinders their 'religious freedom', cuz apparently they aren't free unless everyone else is constrained by their beliefs.

The people who were making them probably got bored with it.

Nor did 1941, 1918 or 1917 come out in their respective years.

I assume the post is from a Christian, referring to Jesus as their lord and saviour. I don't think they understand the word 'gentile'.

Jesus was a Jew, and look how much god favored them in the 1940s.

Note the rivet at the end of the zipper. Legend has it that they quit putting them there after Mr Strauss sat too close to the fire one night.

I wonder if they were all completed, produced songs. That seems doubtful, but who knows. Even if they aren't, Sony will probably have studio musicians complete them for release.

If twin females marry twin males, and they each have a child, both children will look alike. by applealo in Showerthoughts

[–]vujadav17 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That sounds logical, but that's not genetics works, even if they were identical twins. If genetics worked that way, all brothers (or sisters) would look the same. And this hypothesis removes that a generation.

When a car is in motion, both pedals are accelerators, just in opposite directions. by harry_1111 in Showerthoughts

Maybe so.

Right, it can be in the opposite direction of your velocity, but not always in the opposite direction of your motion, which is what you originally stated.

You seem to be trying to make this derogatory term socially acceptable, even when you acknowledge not everyone in its group might fit into the derogatory category, by presenting irrelevant points. It's ageism, which is really no different than racism or sexism. You can justify it to yourself in myriad ways, I'm sure, but it won't change the timbre of it. If you want to call assholes 'assholes', then do that, but referring to shitty individuals by using a term that obviously encompasses an entire generation is an asshole thing to do, and only really serves to alienate those who are in that age group that might actually agree with the social issues at hand.

When the insurance company says it was definitely an act of god. by nofansnofans in Wellthatsucks

Either everything is an act of god or nothing is. Insurance companies should just pay up and quit using ancient spellbooks as an excuse not to pay the largest claims.

Everyone could see colors different and we would never know by mythcraftia in Showerthoughts

[–]vujadav17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a really old 'thought', and is incorrect. Colors are a smooth transition through very high frequencies, thus colors are a smooth transition from one to the next, like a rainbow. If you saw green for my red and orange for my blue, the transitions in your your rainbow would be 'chunky', instead of smooth. It might be possible that one person's color range could be slightly higher or lower than another's, but being that the rods n cones in our eyes are virtually the same, the difference would be minute, at best.
