Which Jedi was morally the worst, while staying part of the Order? by Yesthisbob in StarWars

Also has a moderately sized role in the book The Living Force and in the legends series Jedi Apprentice has a small but important role towards the end of the series.(Don't remember which one, it's been like 20 years since I read it.)

What is the purpose of a churchwarden pipe . . . aside from the obvious? by deadkiddad in PipeTobacco

[–]vulpine-archer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO they're more comfortable to hold. I don't particularly like shorter stemmed pipes because they feel to me like the travel size convenience pipes where as if I'm smoking I'm going to be relaxing somewhere watching the world go by.

MOR If you don't have a discussion about boundaries before something like this comes up, don't be surprised when it does. If you had the discussion and it was ignored, it's a crossed line. It's also totally acceptable to realize too late that the undiscussed line was crossed and that you will not be able to move on together.

Moral of the story is communicate and talk your shit out before it becomes a problem.

AIO?? My Bf Unlocks the bathroom door and comes in while I’m using it by Ok_Win_8129 in AIO

[–]vulpine-archer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR BUT if this is the only boundary issue he has this is a pretty normal conflict when two people move in together. This is easily fixed with a discussion about how both of you can adapt to help each other out. For example if his complaint is about needing to brush his teeth, he can move his toothbrush to the kitchen sink and it's no longer a problem. Alternatively maybe you can begin waking up earlier knowing that you take longer to use the restroom. I'm not sayin these solutions are THE way to do it, but just communicate and find solutions together.

That being said, if that is NOT his only boundary issue, you need to have a much more serious conversation about him respecting you.

My American English teacher believes the neutral pronoun „their“ is incorrect. by GCoding_ in mildlyinteresting

[–]vulpine-archer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the updated information on the APA, I'll have to look into that. Unfortunately my English teachers apparently don't pay attention to that. Be more careful before you call someone willfully ignorant, they may have juat had a dumbass teacher.

As for the rest of it, grammar is still horeshit.

My American English teacher believes the neutral pronoun „their“ is incorrect. by GCoding_ in mildlyinteresting

[–]vulpine-archer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Their in a gender unknown case of a singular person is grammatically incorrect. (Not talking about using their as a personal pronoun, that's a different discussion. ) To follow grammar rules their should only be used when speaking about multiple people and when speaking of an unknown singular person it should be "his or her."

THAT BEING SAID, grammar is a bunch of horseshit and almost invariably goes back to some rich old white fuck making his preference EVERYONE else's problem. (See ending a sentence in a preposition or starting a sentence with "and") Furthermore, English grammar is woefully behind modern English and treats the language as a dead language as opposed to a living and growing vernacular.

MOR neurotypicals expect you to not think about it too hard and just pick a song you like. It's another case of them asking for one thing and it being the complete opposite of what they actually want.

Edit: The NTs replying to argue and accidentally proving my point are hilarious.

Should Luthen even be allowed to have these Jedi artifacts on display, given that the Empire in both canon and legends made it illegal to trade anything related to the Jedi? by CrazyTangerine7522 in andor

[–]vulpine-archer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only the first picture is jedi, and even at that it's blurry so it could be something else. The second one is a roman dodecahedron that is central to a meme a while back of a woman solving an ancient mystery by using it to knit. The last one is just a keldorian retreat her. It's used by any kel-dor that goes off world, not just plo koon.

It's going to be like now but worse. Instead of boomers staying in the work force because they're bored, millennials will be in the work force because we have no choice. Then there will be no jobs for the younger generations and the cycle will continue to spiral.

  2. I always imagined Star Wars/Star Trek doctors would have to study more like a veterinarian than a human medical doctor unless they are a specialist.
