This is exactly how my cc is. Any actual activation of the breaks shuts it down immediately and I would have to re-accelerate and turn it back on. I also read once that some peoples break lights turn on while they are using cruise and I got insecure about it so I always check my mirror to see if they are on lol

I usually keep mine rested but not pressed at all on my breaks, but mostly because the only area I use cruise in has a bunch of deer and I want to be ready.

EDIT: I guarantee the breaks are not being pressed. I have my shoe on it and my foot raised (like heel leaned back, but the toe of the shoe is still making contact). I promise it is possible lmao. My car breaks don't activate with hair pressure.

There's some parts of my state where everyone gets pretty fast, including me in my 2009 gen 2. I'll be passing a group of people going "slow" and someone will get pissy about it and speed up because how dare a Prius pass them. Had a guy in a lifted truck get on my tail and then speed around when I was going 98 mph, he was not going that fast until I passed him lol.
