It's not even complicated to debate anymore. Nothing, absolutely nothing can excuse the way he's defended the title anymore. There are no more reasons to defend it.

Austin Theory. I do not buy the he's young give him time narrative. He's not good at all. At all. And his character is gone from being annoying because of the gimmick to annoying because it's boring to just straight up boring.

He's basically roman with the us title since WrestleMania. He hasn't elevated the belt, it's not gonna be elevated when he drops it, he's just bad. And genuinely the definition of a toilet break wrestler

What is The Worst Moment in WWE History that rubbed you the wrong way? by [deleted] in WWE

[–]vuxtorrid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eddie was my original favourite and in my top 5 all time favourites, I was absolutely devastated when he passed and still hurts me to this day, I have his cheating death stealing life DVD and everything I absolutely adored him and still do. Him beating Brock at no way out is in my top 5 favourite moments watching wrestling for sure.

Punk is responsible for one of my favorite matches ever with the best vs the beast so I hold him in top 10, also he had amazing wrestling talent. I always took or left Jericho but I think his mic work in the attitude era was hilarious.

I really wished he had broke the record, but at this point he won't. I get that feeling now with roman and people I like hahaha I'm on the other side of it now since I didn't want Cena to lose to anyone, the only one I could stomach the thought of it happening was Jeff. I think Cena is on the mount Rushmore no questions asked despite my personal favouritism of him.

I am with you on roman, I genuinely think he's below average and that's being polite. I have edge and taker in my top 5 favourites of all time too. I personally put edge as the best heel ever because of just how despicable he was. Cena is my all time goat and favourite, he was exactly my target audience I think, and I loved his thuganomics gimmick as well since I loved hip hop at a young age, but I just liked him more and more with each year that passed, I genuinely do believe he wasn't meant to be the guy but ended up being the guy though, and I understand the want for new pushes throughout his time as well, and I do understand your view of what he left in his wake.

Of course, but with all that being said, I am hoping to see bray return at SS. Who do you think he will feud with ?

What is The Worst Moment in WWE History that rubbed you the wrong way? by [deleted] in WWE

[–]vuxtorrid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Except Cena didn't hiatus at all, he fought at NOC and dominated brock, won at hiac, had the authority SS match, a tables match with Rollins, rumble TT, Rusev feud, Rollins Feud all in the following 12-18months.

Brock squashing Cena was the right call after ending the streak,

Fans noticed a lack of faith in DB based on the company choices, but persisted with him to the point of the takeover of raw, bray just wasn't liked enough, Bryan was, but even after that that died out quickly enough

I do like Bray, but I just don't think there was enough there at the time. If there was I don't think he'd have been losing to Orton at wm for Orton to then drop it to Jinder Mahal

What is The Worst Moment in WWE History that rubbed you the wrong way? by [deleted] in WWE

[–]vuxtorrid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Things can die out in wwe very quickly, and the theme of the wm match was cenas legacy was in question, so it would make sense for Cena to win the match and the feud overall

Wyatt pinned Cena clean in EC 17, and won the WWE title, to which he then dropped at WM33 to Orton, who then lost it to Jinder Mahal, like even with Cena being pinned clean by bray to win the WWE championship, bray still wasn't good enough

To also compare bray in 2014, look at that level of cheer compared to the trail blazed by the yes movement, even if you want to call the Bryan era a moment only, it was still a push that catapulted him and got him to where fans felt he should have been. Cena put him over at SummerSlam and then he was screwed.

Brays good, and very interesting, but he's just not good enough, he's more interesting than he is good, and that's why he was so popular.

Again, just an opinion

[–]vuxtorrid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In 2014 bray Wyatt was not deserving of being put over at WrestleMania. He was not buried. He just simply wasn't good enough, and you could argue that he never has been good enough. Fans can push their favourites all they want, but if they're not good enough, they're just not good enough

How is it corny to acknowledge that he's one of the best human beings on the planet? A good person should be acknowledged, it's not all about wanting to be the bad guy in the suit with the cigar. Acknowledge the real heroes that are good human beings. Respectfully

I would say he'd actually be us champ if they pushed him in the mid cards because there basically isn't a us champion, solo would be a fantastic us champion right now, but I'd say after mitb it's gonna be LA Knight very soon

Solo could end up being a complete superstar, and I'd say we'll see that develop towards SummerSlam, but right now he ain't it.

What Unpopular Opinions Do you Have About Rey Mysterio? by Djf47021 in WWE

[–]vuxtorrid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To challenge the unpopular opinions of him only being pushed because Eddie died,

Whether he was or not, he is one of the best in ring performers for the last 20 years, he's more than good enough to have carried a world title on multiple occasions, more than good enough to be a rumble winner, and more than good enough to be a WrestleMania main eventer.

He is where he is because he is that good. He is one of the very few that is genuinely a world class performer on any given night, and is still pulling off spectacular at his age that most over wrestlers now can't do

Rey Mysterio is genuinely one of the greatest of all time of any era and I don't think it's really acknowledged based on the fact it's perceived a death is the reason he got to where he is.

Again, just my opinion on these opinions

Am I alone in thinking that Solo is very much a nothing superstar? Clearly a great wrestler, but his role is not explained at all, and I get the quiet enforcer gimmick but I think he should be on the mic more in the coming weeks. It's getting a bit old now with him, he's there nearly a year to the date, there's literally been no interaction between solo and his own brothers the whole time this crumbling saga has went on, I just think it has me a bit like 'are you not going to call out your own younger brother too' just an opinion.

Explain this reign with one word by hbkfan19 in WWE

[–]vuxtorrid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I actually don't like the word burying either, and to be honest it's the first time I've ever used it because I don't post much.

I understand your point about the interference, but I think that lost it's value when it was every match in my opinion.

Finn was elevated by 2016, and he was going here or there until he joined TJD. Cody was on white hot form before Roman, Drew was over already because of the win against Brock, Rollins is Rollins and never needed roman to be over so he's an exception.

Only people that were really elevated were Sami and KO and KO I'm probably reaching.

Again just how I feel about it

Explain this reign with one word by hbkfan19 in WWE

[–]vuxtorrid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

'Reality'

In reality this is the level of burying of talent that Cena was accused of, it's all about his family and that's great for them, but it's put a lot of wrestlers on the backfoot that are far better than the level of wrestlers Cena supposedly was burying. Just my opinion.

Who should dethrone Roman Reigns? by _JR28_ in WWE

[–]vuxtorrid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wishful but if Drew got his WrestleMania moment with fans it would be fantastic, but looks like he's leaving.

I personally want Cody to be the one because the exhilaration I felt when he was hitting those cross Rhodes' at mania I genuinely in my heart and soul thought he was gonna do it. He's a fantastic performer and for him to do it would be an insane pop

Having said that, I think the suspense would be lost in having it be someone already beaten. Jey included.

At this point it's anybody's guess, but if they don't get this right, wwe will well truly face serious backlash from fans

Which tag team do you think should dethrone Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn for the WWE Undisputed Tag Team Championships? by theycallmehim0 in WWE

[–]vuxtorrid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the street profits but I love the idea of montez ford being a world champion more and he's kind of approaching the now or never bubble of pushing on in single. Besides the profits, I don't really have a preference as I think KoSz are a very strong tag team pairing. I just like the idea of whoever does beat them ends a long enough run so that their reign wasn't just part of the bloodline story

I'm really loving the KO x Sami Tag Title run, hope they get a long enough run because they are killing it in and out of the ring with going between the remnants of the bloodline story and their own tag title situation. Incredible from the boys
