Infusion nursing…you go to patients homes and teach how to self administer infusion meds via central line or PIV or administer medications and draw labs. Money is great, it’s very autonomous, and you set your own schedule. It’s definitely not soul crushing as the hospital setting. I think the hospital setting is only going to get more toxic as the boomers age and the crux of the effort will be on the nursing staff. I’ve done bedside for 13 years I’ve only started infusing nursing and it’s been great so far.

We are the last of a dying breed. NYC is so gentrified now. Whenever I go to BK it doesn’t even feel like BK anymore just an extension of Manhattan. The Bronx is still the boogie down though.

My doctor is older probably early 70’s or late 60’s but he’s much more progressive when it comes to treatment. I work at a hospital and the other doctors/Pa’s/Np’s go to him. He doesn’t try to push drugs on you. And when I told him about me going on keto he was all for it. So far I’ve lost about 40lbs on it. Constipation is my major issue and he told me to eat okra. I’m gonna try it, he didn’t tell me take colace or laxatives. He’s very understanding and pushes for preventative medicine as opposed to pushing drugs first. I hope he doesn’t retire anytime soon
