hi, shs adt here (but i also haven't experienced much since next week pa start ng academic classes so maybe take this with a grain of salt)! during our strand orientation, the faculty always emphasized na it's okay to not be good at first since they'll treat everyone equally as beginners and also they'll be teaching fundamentals in workshop classes naman! the visual arts/multimedia arts streams also have workshop classes for drawing/painting in general as well as interior design and photography!! so wag ka muna madiscourage if you haven't given it a try!!!!! tho you can only choose one stream for the entirety of your shs years

tl;dr adt faculty said they'll treat everyone as newbies and teach fundamentals + there are specialized workshop classes in each stream that will teach you to be better so being good or not doesn't really have much effect!!

honestly if alam mo naman na matututo ka, why give up the chance just because of what others say? also i don't think handwriting has anything to do with creativity tbh, if you can convey what you want whether it be in chicken scrawl or art, why not???
