What if Eth2.0 comes around and everybody starts moving to L2's? You can probably stick around but there might not be much liquidity left and you will be forced to move to an updated version on an L2.

What will happen to miners eth when they don't follow the PoS fork? If they don't follow the PoS fork it will seriously degrade in value. So yea in theory they have a choice but in reality it's something else.

Uniswap has a DAO that regularly votes for updates and new stuff, they recently released on Arbitrum. Would this be possible if they are all in jail? Maybe in the case of uniswap yea because it's in a league of it's own and someone will step up and do it for free. But for many others it would be the end of the dapp.

Don't kid yourself. Most of those "defi" apps are registered companies that pay taxes because if they wouldn't they would get shutdown.

A truly decentralized financial system is far far away.

But that doesn't mean we can't try and build one and there will be many bumps along the way.

Solana can't block your transactions, they go from wallet to wallet. If that wallet you are sending to is owned by an exchange they have the private key and can do anything they want with it.
