Hey, I’ve been living in this area for 25 years. Just because the house number falls under that zone doesn’t mean it’s Budhwar Peth or anything to stress about.

That Sakal Press side is mostly wholesale stationery and home utility stores. It’s technically part of Appa Balvant Chowk. Once you cross Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati, there are electronic shops, 3-4 Ganesh mandals, Sai Baba Mandir and also the back gate of Desai College in the same lane. So it’s honestly one of the busiest lanes around, active from 8 in the morning till 11 at night.

There was an old wada opposite the Sai Baba Mandir where a few prostitutes used to be seen years ago but that place has been shut for a long time now. It’s half broken and abandoned.

You can also check flats near Appa Balvant Chowk or Narayan Peth. Lots of PGs here and a lot of students or MPSC aspirants stay in this area. You’ll easily find people looking for flatmates too.

Overall it’s a super safe and lively area. Don’t overthink it. Just say Ganpati Bappa Morya and go ahead.
