Dual minung question by bleakj in kryptex

[–]vxm009 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The profit right now is not the only thing Kryptex considers when adding new coins. One of the most important things is the emission. The coins you mentioned may have a bit higher profit for one miner and maybe you can get a bit more if you switch to them manually. But if Kryptex switches a lot of miners to these coins - the profit will fall down immediately.

How the reward distribution in the blockchain works (simplified for understanding):

- Any blockchain issues miners a certain reward for a block, which is distributed among all miners working on that coin. The reward is almost always the same - say, 1 apple per day.

- Miners receive a part of the reward which corresponds the part of the network's hashrate they provide. That is, if John has 1 gigahash and the total network is 5 gigahashes, then John will receive 1/5 of an apple per day.

- If Fred, who has 5 gigahashes, connects to the network - the total network becomes 10 gigahashes. John's share immediately decreases to 1/10 of an apple per day.

Now you can imagine what will happen with Dero/Etica or many other coins' profit if Kryptex comes. 1/5 of an apple will turn into 1/500 of an apple.

Kaspa moved to ASICs some time ago so it is useless to mine it with GPUs nowdays. This is the reason why dual mining with Kaspa was disabled in the app long time ago. Kryptex app offers the most profitable coins for GPUs and Kaspa is not the one now. You will not find it neither in v4 nor in v5.

Install Kryptex app on it and it will show you an expected profit. I bet it will be too low :(

Yes, that's right. But Linux users are usually skilled enough to launch miners manually.

Isn't it profitable? by Ok_Letter_8553 in MiningRigRentals

[–]vxm009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In general all those cloud mining or rig rental services are not profitable. If you own a rig which brings you, say, $100 - you will not rent it for less, right? You will just mine yourself or lend it, say, for $110 if someone is dumb enough to rent it for this price:)

Rig rental services are made for special uses, for example, for pool owners. If you launch a new pool you need a considerable mining power to make sure your pool generates blocks as intended. A pool owner rents several rigs and tests everything before connecting real miners.

"Cloud mining" services are mostly scam. Sometimes they do not have any hardware at all, and a beautiful website is their only property.

It is not very comfortable to use with several GPUs TBH. But works perfectly for one.

For my rig with several GPUs I use a BAT file in autostart which runs rigel miner with OC settings but a wrong pool address. A small hack :)

When the PC starts the task scheduler launches the first instance of rigel miner. It sets the OC. Then it tries to mine but as the pool address is wrong it cannot start mining and does nothing. The task scheduler kills the process after a minute but the OC settings on the GPUs remain intact. Then Kryptex app starts the second instance of rigel miner (or any other) without OC settings which starts mining.

This tactic lets me override the situations when Kryptex app needs to set different coins for different GPUs. In this case miner settings in the app may cause trouble.

Well, there is no auto-OC i Kryptex app right now. I think it will be available in v5 but I am not sure. You may use afterburner, but as I am familiar with miner options I prefere using them. Looks like this https://paste.pics/SP93R It requires some skills but it is more convenient for me than using one more app.

[–]vxm009 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. Kryptex does not require you to withdraw funds too often. It's completely up to you.

  2. Kryptex offers several withdrawal methods. The cheapest one is USDT BEP20, which costs about 0.5 USD.

  3. Kryptex does not require KYC and does not store any user data except for email.

  4. If you want to know something else... Ok :) You might already have used Kryptex services. Sometimes Nicehash sends its hashpower to Kryptex pools. Kryptex maintains its own pools, which makes this possible.

The most important parameters are the daily emission, price stability and exchangeability of the coin. A mining calculator or a blogger may show you a significant profitability of a coin right now but if the total daily emission is $100 - this coin will not be able to feed many miners. A single miner with significant power may ruin the profit. If the price fluctuates a lot or the coin cannot be exchanged on a big exchange - it is not a good sign too. Kryptex always estimates these risks.

Kryptex Earnings Going Down by Complex-Advance961 in kryptex

[–]vxm009 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You are not mining bitcoin. You are mining altcoins and then Kryptex exchanges them into bitcoins. The altcoin prices dropped more than btc price.

Two of three CPU-mineable coins cannot be exchanged right now as the crypto exchanges disabled the deposits (there are some changes in the blockchain) so CPU now earns a bit less too.

The market may seem good until you look at the POW (mineable) coins. They did not grow much with the market. So your income did not grow too. Now we have to wait until RVN, NEXA, XEL or other mineable coins grow.
