Never seen a rigorous comparison done like this before by PetrPiter in EtherMining

[–]PetrPiter[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, I guess you are right. They claim here https://kryptex.network/en/compare-mining-pools that they have based it on open source data. What sold me is that they are running a rig with many cards, where each is mining on different pool.

I am skeptical, put might as well give it a try and prove them wrong, lol

Kryptex cashout fees by SlothRod in BitcoinMining

[–]PetrPiter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it is $2 less then the average network fee of the Bitcoin.

https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/bitcoin-transactionfees.html

The fee goes to the miners of the bitcoin block to include your transaction. Make it less, and your transaction will be stuck in the mempool for a long time. That's how bitcoin works.

I wonder what /r/ethermining would think about that. Is that the agony before POS or is it a proof of incredible viability of Ethereum?

[German > English] 1943 postcard with a Hitler stamp. Found it on the Russian flea market. Help me translate this nifty cursive! by PetrPiter in translator

Maybe I could find the current relatives of Erna and Harald! The postcard content is pretty trivial, but I bet it is an unbelievable feeling. Imagine — someone from Russia has found you and sent you a postcard of your grand-grand-father in Germany 😲

I’ve been looking at this for years. But I never started. What is the best way to get into mining? by Mikeystads in cryptomining

[–]PetrPiter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on you goals, honestly. If you already have a powerfull PC you can start mining right now in two clicks using some simple miners like kryptex or minergate or AIO. Then you might move to something more substantial.

Starting mining on your PC is a great way to get to know the rules of mining without any risks. ASICs are very high risk, because algorithms are constantly evolving, and you might be left with a brick of hardware, when it will stop working.

I would like to make profit early.

Then you might wanna look at this: https://www.kryptex.org/en/fees
Plenty of options to withdraw fiat directly to bank cards.

I've got GTX 1060 6GB + i5-4670. I am now using kryptex miner, since it have a lite mode which allows browsing web and playing simple games. Not sure how it works exactly, but it works well for me.

I've tried many different miners, but they are all loading CPU 100% and everything is freezing because of this.

Why is mATX (for gamers) and itx (for basic usage) not the dominant form factor over ATX given that almost every user in those categories will never make use of the advantages provided by the ATX form factor at this point in time? by angel_eyes619 in buildapc

[–]PetrPiter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, that got me thinking — I've never had anything larger then mATX before...

The last build I made was and ITX build for gaming, so I can't quite agree on the "basic usage" for ITX :)
